John von Seggern is best known as an ambient producer, as well as being one-half of darkwave duo Liminal Shade with Honduran singer Mar Boreal.

From 2014-2020 he worked closely with legendary electronic music pioneer Jon Hassell, culminating in the release of two acclaimed albums: Listening to Pictures (2018) and Seeing Through Sound (2020).

John von has had a wildly varied career as a musician and producer. He has played bass at venues around the world with some of the biggest Asian pop artists, DJed techno across China and US, and contributed sound design and effects for the Oscar-winning Pixar feature Wall-E and other films.

I took an online course in music production from Berklee College of Music, and I currently have a humble home studio.
