Reclaim Your City 059 | Arnaud Le Texier (London)

Arnaud’s career dates back to 1990 when he first began managing record shops and building what is now a huge archive of knowledge, taste and musical dedication to his name. His five years residency at Paris’s Queen and memorable sets around Europe over the years that followed perfected Arnaud’s djing skills, earning him his spot in the worldwide scene where he continues to this day to be a prominent dj and production figure.
 
In 2000 at a Miami gig, Arnaud met British dj James Warren, the pair shared a vision and love of expressing deep and constructed minimal and techno sounds. The two artists decided to launch the UK based labels; Atcha Recordings and Kailash Records.
 
5 years later, Safari Electronique was born. Arnaud decided to launch this new label because he wanted something different and where he could sign all styles of electronic music. A label a bit more experimental and personal, which concentrates on techno and minimal sounds, sensuality and dance-floor grooves has since gone on to collaborate with best known and highly respected artists. Safari Electronique made his name by often being the first to discover who was about to become a big talent. This tells a lot about label owner Arnaud Le Texier's DJ Set. Through his focus on music quality and originality, as well as his performances on an International level, Arnaud Le Texier became one of the leaders in electronic sound.
 
At the beginning of 2006 Arnaud decided to move to London where he played in different clubs or parties such as T Bar, Kubicle, Half Baked, Secret Sundaze, Bread & Butter, Multi Vitamins, Wiggle etc … and he is a regular Dj at Fabric since 9 years. He made quite of an impression when he warmed the room 2 of Fabric for their 12th birthday, along side Ben Klock, Steffi, Peter Van Hoessen. Since 2 years he’s resident of 2 great parties in London: One More & Melt where he played alongside many great artists such as : DVS1, Rodhad, Efdemin, Dj Deep, Ryan Elliott, Lawrence, Nick Höppner, Virginia, Skudge, Radio Slave, Mark Broom, ROD, Tama Sumo, etc…
 
In 2008 Children Of Tomorrow was born. A label created by Emmanuel Ternois. Arnaud decided to join this project in 2011 and to focus on the techno side. For over more than 20 years they have both shared their passion for timeless techno Music. Raw and timeless are the main elements of the label. Arnaud is releasing his own music and confirmed talents such as : Terrence Dixon, ROD, Jonas Kopp, Ryan Elliott, Samuli Kemppi, Zadig, Antigone, Antonio De Angelis, Birth Of Frequency and many more have been involved with releases or remixes. Almost all the releases have been played or charted by huge artists such has Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, DVS1, Ben Sims, Rodhad, DJ Deep, Chris Liebing, Dave Clarke and many more.

Since 2013 Arnaud & Antonio De Angelis started a new Techno project under Detect Audio alias. 

In 2014 label boss Arnaud Le Texier together with his partners and colleagues decided to start a series of Children Of Tomorrow parties in London that focus on talented Techno producers.
 
Arnaud produced different EP's & remixes for Affin, Bass Culture, Cocoon, Children of Tomorrow, Syncrophone, Safari Electronique, etc... to name few since 1999 when he started to write his own music. He is a perfect blend of natural talent and raw flare with very distinctive music.

Estamos muy contentas de presentar al siguiente artista que viene a formar parte de nuestra serie de podcasts, DJ/Productor Venezolano, con mucha trayectoria en la escena, y que ha formado parte de nuestro ciclo previamente como Main en uno de los primeros eventos de este 2023.

En esta oportunidad, Trujillo nor propone una experiencia cautivadora e inmersiva que combina elementos del techno hipnótico, con una atmósfera oscura, una línea musical constante y homogénea, brindando así una sensación general de un viaje inmersivo. Desde el comienzo del set, emerge un bombo profundo y resonante, que sienta las bases para el viaje hipnótico que se avecina. La línea de bajo avanza evolucionando lentamente y entrelazándose con los patrones rítmicos, creando una atmósfera fascinante e implacable. Los beats son precisos y mecánicos, impulsando la energía con una intensidad inquebrantable. Surgen capas de sonidos atmosféricos, creando un denso paisaje sonoro que te rodea. Los pads y las melodías inquietantes flotan dentro y fuera, entrelazando el ritmo, y agregando una dimensión de otro mundo a la experiencia, evocando una sensación de misterio y oscuridad, cautivando la atención del oyente y llevándonos más profundamente al abismo sonoro. Trujillo logra combinar hábilmente las pistas, manteniendo una línea constante y homogénea en todo momento, asegurando que el viaje inmersivo permanezca ininterrumpido. La intensidad aumenta gradualmente, manteniendo a la audiencia enganchada, pero sin abrumarla nunca.

Piotr Figiel - music producer, live act performer and dj from Krakow, Poland. Formely known for DCM and @peterfeegle projects, since 2014 Piotr performs under his own name, focusing his work mostly on techno, IDM and playing hardware based live acts. His music has always been an eclectic mixture of different influences, original sound design and great sound. Piotr’s work has been released on many Polish and international labels and among many dj and live act club gigs, Piotr also performed at Street Art Festival, Ars Cameralis Festival, Tauron Nowa Muzyka festival and in 2017 Piotr was honoured to play on the legendary @instytuttechno festival in Warsaw. Piotr has been hosting the „Essentia Electronica” radio show at Off Radio Krakow station in 2015-2021. The show became one of the most important promotion hubs for the local electronic music scene, artists, collectives and clubs in Krakow. In 2021 Piotr started a new venture, record label Rwetes. Apart from the solo music activity, Piotr teams up with @gawronski, creating @krakowitz - nostalgic, synthesizer-based, melodic music project. Piotr also works as a producer, mixing and mastering engineer, helping many artists to achieve the dreamed sound of their records.

My linux won't boot so I'm presently forced to use Windows, and because of the bug in Soundcloud's system my account is all messed up when I don't use a VPN to connect which I am unable to do now... trying to get help from my VPN provider. What I wrote below was heart felt but presumptuous and pretentious.  I would have to not be stupid myself to be allowed to claim such a thing.  More importantly though, I don't believe it is correct or accurate.  These people are probably not stupid but just don't care.  Justice is a collective thing and many if not most people seem to live in bubbles.  It is perhaps economic oppression which is responsible, they just don't have the resources, the time, the energy to be concerned about what lies behond that bubble.  It used to be fine but there's this thing they call globalization which makes this increasingly impractical or impossible.

mid January 2024:
Justice and vengeance are not the same.  Apparently most people are too stupid to see the difference.  Unfortunately it is not something unique to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and not unique to group conflicts.

What happened to intelligence?  Aren't we supposed to be the "intelligent" specie.

I have discovered the magic of underground electronic music at a later age, and it absorbed me all the more. I have loved music all my life, played piano as a child. Influenced by classical music and various musical styles, my scope in electronic music is wide. From ambient, minimal, deep house or electro, to club techno, in which I try to share my own vision. When playing, my aim is for my audience to dive into deep moods. I incline to downtempo, but when needed, I easily find myself in high speed dance positions. In techno, apart from captivating deep sound, I like to carry you away with rawness and even decadence, surprise you with bizarre elements, until finally to relax you with a portion of lightness, groove or elegance. In my sets you will typically find a pre-meditated story as I like to indulge in creating various atmospheres. I love when music is intelligent, unpredictable and enriching human senses.

I have been performing across clubs and venues in Slovakia, Poland and Czech Republic.
