Dieser Track kommt vom Charakter her etwas "ruhiger" daher, denn irgendwann in einem dauernd "straight" vorwärts treibenden Mixset, brauchen die "Tanzwütigen" auch mal eine kleine Erholungsphase zum "Luft holen". Dafür ist dieses Klangerzeugnis genau das passende Objekt der Begierde, weil es eine gelungene Melange zwischen "Minimal Techno" und "Progressiv Tech House" ist, welches gefühlt etwas vom "Tempo" herausnimmt, aber trotzdem den ursprünglichen "Groove" locker flockig beibehält, ohne die Gesamtstimmung runterzufahren. Kurz gesagt, ein gelungener Pausen-Snack für den Dancefloor.

Jubiläums-SBG Event "The Purge", für die Freitagabend Party-Session im "Techno Bunker", produziert und auf eine spektakuläre und unvergessliche Art und Weise zur Anwendung gebracht wurden. Es war wie geplant ein musikalisches Massaker par Excellence, bei dem es keine Gnade gab, denn Gefangene wurden nicht gemacht und für das Schlachtfeld "Dancefloor" wurden "Überlebende" sowieso von vornherein ausgeschlossen.

"Der Bipolare Klangkortex" ist ein "Alter Ego"-Pseudonym für ein technoides, Genre übergreifendes Musikprojekt, eine Kombination aus semi-professionellen "Bootleg-Track Producing" im hauseigenen Studio einerseits und als Dj/Live Combo Mixset-Performance, um den ganzen Shit in den Clubs dieser Welt, ordnungsgemäß an den Mann zu bringen. Ins Leben gerufen wurde das Ganze, von zwei Enthusiasten ihrer Zunft, Tecksuss und Akustikstörung, Ihr wertschöüfungs-Repertoire umfasst nicht nur die Produktionen von "Bootleg-Tracks", sondern auch die praktische Anwendung dieser einigartigen "Mix-Tools", welche sie dann mit ihren jeweils eigenen "Work-Benches" bei ihren Gigs, für ein beeindruckendes "Performance-Level" gebrauchen und mißbrauchen. What and who is A Darker Wave?
We are a duo (jacki-e & p-mac) who present our own radio show every Saturday at 10pm UK, 11pm CET on both NLive Radio www.nliveradio.com and Circl8 Radio www.circl8radio.com. The show is repeated on Sundays at 3am UK, 4am CET on House Nation Toronto Radio www.hntradio.com. We put the show together in our home studio. The show is streamed worldwide on the internet via the Tune In Radio app. Each show is posted on our Soundcloud and Mixcloud pages once it has been streamed.
We also play gigs as A Darker Wave and we have played at events in Germany, Birmingham, the East Midlands and Brighton.
The music we play is techno, tech house and deep house.
Each show is 2 hours long. In the first hour we go into the mix with our featured EP of the week and the best of the new releases.
In the second hour we invite new and upcoming DJs to come onto the show and do a guest mix.

Why are you called A Darker Wave?
Dark Wave was first used in the 1980s to describe a dark and melancholy variant of new wave and post-punk music and was first applied to UK musicians such as Bauhaus, Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy, Cocteau Twins, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Depeche Mode and Anne Clark. It was also used to describe artists who combined music with performance art, such as Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire, who challenged and explored the darker and obsessive sides of the human condition.

A lot of techno takes its spirit and ethos from this music, Listen to Throbbing Gristle or Cabaret Voltaire and you can hear the industrial sounds which are a staple of techno music today.

Techno is the outsider of electronic dance music, the punk of today's modern music scene. As Dave Clarke said in an interview with Mixmag, " Techno is edgy. Techno will challenge you......it's the real dark art."

Our radio show, in presenting the best in underground techno and deep house music, and in giving an opportunity for new, up and coming DJ's and producers, is providing an outlet for new techno, which is best described as being the new wave of modern dance music.

Not just a new wave, but with it's incessant bass rumblings, synthesiser drones, pounding drums, melodic top notes and eerie, distorted vocal samples, techno, in all its forms, is a backdrop to and a critique of our post-industrial, consumerist society, one in which our actions are observed 24/7, our democratic freedoms are threatened by our very own governments and our rights to do, think and act as we please are under ever increasing scrutiny. Techno really is A Darker Wave.

When we were listening to music in the 60’s and 70’s, before the electronic tentacles of technology infiltrated the world, we often thought, whilst listening to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Hawkwind, Captain Beefhart, New York Dolls and Roxy Music, where would music go to in the future? It could never be what was being portrayed in the science fiction movies of the time. Now we know. It can be anything. When we have a recording studio in our own home which is more powerful and versatile than anything available back then, we now know music can be anything and go anywhere. It is only the spark of our imaginations, or lack of it, that holds us back. On our laptop computers we have the capabilities that many artists back then would have given their right arms for. It’s for the uniqueness of the artist to express themselves to be able to stand out from the deluge of music available. Finding those gems is the modern day equivalent of crate digging and when you do, it makes it all worthwhile. Long live music!!!!

Production comes a few years back in 2018 and soon got the attention of well recognizables labels like Physical Techno Recordings and Right Music Records, and eventually expanding his work on labels like Beats HD, Pure Dope Digital, Oxytech Records, Big Punch Records, Aesthetics Records, Black Kat, Booster Music etc... Being a follower and regular visitor on the scene in the early 90’s  Joma© fell pretty much by accident into his first residency  having spent time learning and playing with friends. This was followed by other appointments and gigs before the chance of moving abroad came into play. 

The time-out was long, somewhere around 25 years but who’s counting. Returning to new technology, new sounds and a new country Joma© was back in 2020.

After a chance meeting with some new friends from the scene and a realisation that the love for electronic music had never faltered, the time was right to start all over again.

Joma© plays progressive house, melodic techno and techno if he is allowed to choose himself. He has been performing in Sweden at different venues since 2021 and is a regular on the Essential Clubbers Radio and Elev8  radio, two popular uk electronic music radio stations in the uk.

Joma© always manages to bring that melodic style and musical touch that has been part of his signature sound since the early 90’s in everything he does, from calm progressive mixes in the afternoon to finding the right melodic sections to build the atmosphere in a late night driving Techno set. 

For Joma© it’s about the atmosphere, the crowd, the energy, and that feeling we all love, of not only being a part of something, but actually belonging to it.
