C’est à l’âge de 13 ans, que Kevin SCHERSCHEL tombe dans la musique grâce au groupe Front242 qui fait naître son intérêt pour la scène indus, ainsi que le groupe Skinny Puppy et son ingénieur du son, Kevin Key.
D’ailleurs à l'origine de son nom d’artiste. 

L'émergence de l'acide house ainsi que de la new beat ont éveillé en lui l'envie de communiquer par le biais de la musique.

C'est tout d’abord par le mix qu’il décide de s’engager dans cette voie. Parallèlement, il se bat pour imposer la musique électronique dans sa ville et sa région, il fait parti des Pionnniers Français des premières raves party du Sud de la France. 
En 1993, Kevin et ses amis ouvrent un bar techno en plein Nice où ont lieu des afters. 
C’est grâce à ce lieu qu’il fait de nombreuses rencontres, dont Daft Punk avec lesquels il aura l’occasion de collaborer (cf. discographie), avant même qu’ils ne soient connus de tous. 

Grâce à ses Set's, Kevin gagne en popularité ce qui l’amène à jouer auprès des plus grands DJ de la scène techno internationale. 
Il rencontre ainsi Eric Napora, fondateur du magazine Coda dans lequel Kevin est élu « Meilleur Espoir » par les lecteurs et devient résident des soirées ‘Storm’ au Rex Club (Paris). 

En 1999, il s’installe à Nîmes pour se consacrer à d'autres activités. Il ouvre d'une boutique de disques et passe à la production musicale, il prend le chemin de la création auprès de Nhar, avec lequel il fonde le duo 22 CREW.
 D’ou plusieurs maxi sortent sous le label Modélisme Records.

Et débute une collaboration avec Jennifer Cardini sur Dirt Crew. 
Après avoir exploré l'électro, il revient vers une techno minimale, aérienne et puissante, tant au niveau de ses sets que de ses productions.
Il sort  ensuite son album 22 :22 sous le label EDELWEISS et plusieurs remixes pour différents artistes. Il en enfin été la première partie de Paul Kalkbrenner lors de ses tournées Françaises et Italiennes.

DJ, producer and label head of Nin92wo, Alex Justino. The man from Goiás has been working with electronic music for over a decade and, since the beginning, his career has maintained a solid pace of growth. Consolidated in the national market and gaining more and more evidence abroad, Justino's performance in the phonographic industry can be understood, in essence, as the winds that blow in a desert: constant, intense, accelerated and perceptible. 

The last few years were crowned by major changes for Alex Justino and took his career to a new level. After spending 2017 immersed in the studios to build and launch his powerful live act, the artist left for his first international tour the following year, with 4 dates around China. Later in 2018, a new mini tour took him to India and Germany, paving the way for a very promising future for the artist, who is starting to conquer even more space on the international scene.

As both a DJ and producer, @refracted-music is coming into his own. The past year has seen him release the lush Through the Spirit Realm LP on @silent-season, secure slots on the summer festival circuit and hit the studio to work on a host of new productions, to be released on his own Mind Express label and elsewhere. His career has taken him from his hometown of Majorca to Berlin, a city which has allowed him to pursue music more actively and to carve out a space of his own within the techno scene.

Refracted took the headline shift at the September edition of Patterns of Perception, treating us to three hours of intense, intelligent techno which weaved masterfully between various tones, textures and emotions. To help us relive the night, we are happy to present an hour-long recording of his set.

I have discovered the magic of underground electronic music at a later age, and it absorbed me all the more. I have loved music all my life, played piano as a child. Influenced by classical music and various musical styles, my scope in electronic music is wide. From ambient, minimal, deep house or electro, to club techno, in which I try to share my own vision. When playing, my aim is for my audience to dive into deep moods. I incline to downtempo, but when needed, I easily find myself in high speed dance positions. In techno, apart from captivating deep sound, I like to carry you away with rawness and even decadence, surprise you with bizarre elements, until finally to relax you with a portion of lightness, groove or elegance. In my sets you will typically find a pre-meditated story as I like to indulge in creating various atmospheres. I love when music is intelligent, unpredictable and enriching human senses.

I have been performing across clubs and venues in Slovakia, Poland and Czech Republic.
