Recorded live.  I was honoured to set the vibe for the second installment of LadyK’s Sexy Lady Show at the #Waverley in #Cumberland, BC.

LadyK’s Sexy Lady Show (djladyk.ca) is a unique offering: a sizzling dance floor with powerful and sensual pole performances throughout. The whole night was an unabashed presentation of feminine empowerment at its finest!

Recorded Live at Dante's Infurno Thursday Night 10 pm - 12 am

My first ever set at a burner event and I had a great time lighting a fire at Dante's to get the weekend started.  The vibe was like nothing else.

Dante's is a two storey raunchy strip club heavily inspired by the movie Beetlejuice, Dante's is the sex-positive Burning Man theme camp where you can meet frisky furries, sexy critters and freaky animal people of Otherworld.

Reflections: Thirrrsty Barrr

Reflections is a somewhat irregularly occurring dj series.

Lamplit and Mind Garden joined forces to push the bar for weekend gatherings.  This boutique festival highlighted a diverse lineup of Vancouver Island artists playing deep 140 bass and techno.

It was an absolute pleasure to play on Mind Garden's Void sound system.  I really enjoyed the whole experience and was blown away by all the lovely people I met there.

Hey, remember that time we used to go out in Toronto and there was a live-to-air dance TV show, and we’d bust out some dance moves for the cameras, listen to some bitchin’ 90’s dance music, then go record a message for our moms and have it aired on national TV. You don’t? 

Well, now you can. Only this time the music will be better, there’ll be a bunch of other cool events, and the camera crew won’t broadcast you on national TV dancing on a podium with some guy in a mesh shirt.

The Genesis sound stage is a creative project bringing together performers, artists, DJs, and most of all, lovers of electronic music to create an immersive late night experience. Featuring a powerful Void sound system, dazzling light shows, and diverse scheduling. Wander down after dark and get lost in the Genesis experience! Now with lamps.

Reflections: Lampchanted Genesis

Reflections is a somewhat irregularly occurring dj series.

This was my final set at Otherworld 2023. It was the perfect culmination of an incredible weekend filled with performances on six different sound stages. I was particularly excited about playing on the forest stage because of the connection I had made with the Lamplit crew earlier in the year.

After wrapping up my set at Thirrrsty Barrr, I had a tight schedule to make it to the other side of Otherworld within an hour. Luckily, I found a friend with an art car who offered me a ride. We made a brief stop to check out another sound stage before heading towards the forest.

When we arrived, RVH's set was at its peak. I was filled with a sense of joy from the weekend, overflowing with gratitude, and even a touch of confidence. Together, with the vibrant energy of the dance floor and the engaged atmosphere of the lounge, we delved into an extraordinary vibe. I truly hope that the essence of that remarkable experience resonates in this studio retake.

Reflections: Lampchanted Forest

Reflections is a somewhat irregularly occurring dj series.

It's been a few years since I played a show in Victoria and I've been wanting to get back there for a while.  Quadratic Sound is an intimate space with a comfortable atmosphere. Annual membership is $5 and supports local events and artists.

The dancefloor was dedicated and continued to grow until the last track of the night.  The energy was up all night and there was no sign of stopping as we pushed past closing.

I really had fun with my track selection and pushed some classic synthy disco sounds pumping with techno kicks.
