The new mix in our series was recorded by Chino Amobi, an American artist and co-founder of the NON Worldwide label, who previously worked under the pseudonym Diamond Black Hearted Boy. The list of musicians he has collaborated with includes Elysia Crampton, Rabit, Dedekind Cut, Embaci, Nkisi and WWWINGS. 

In 2016, Chino Amobi shared the EP “Airport Music For Black Folk”, which received the attention of a number of music publications. A year later, he released his debut LP “Paradiso”, which became the best album of the year according to The Wire magazine.

"English is "the language of domination". That is a strong idea ever present in what I do (to try and include other languages rather than english my work as DJ/producer). While thinking about this I said "hey, that is, (in a way) linked to the "exorcise the language of domination" idea". And that's what I tried to for the remix, to subtract the actual "language" in which Embaci expresses herself, while trying to maintain her spirit on the track." - LECHUGA  ZAFIRO
