Silent Dawn, Grey Twilight - 2023 Version

This album contains sixteen tracks each between three and six minutes in length with the exception of the last track which around seven minutes long. I used these songs in a mix to perform live during a yoga class and they could also be used for meditation, relaxation, working or studying.

PIANO DAY 2016: Windwalzer

It’s been a grim year. I won’t add to the countless column inches exploring why; suffice to say I’ve spent a great deal of it feeling like humanity is on the edge of oblivion, and wondering if, all things considered, that might not be such a bad thing. At other times I’ve clung to what Obama described as ‘the audacity of hope’ – the idea that we may one day learn to live with love, that future generations may finally step out of the shadow of fear that divided and conquered their ancestors.

I wrote this track the night before last, then got up at 5am to record the guitar before engines started roaring in the bus garage outside my flat. You can hear a few birds singing at the end, but that seemed appropriate, so I left it in. 

Thanks for listening in 2016. Here’s hoping.
