3rd Mix. I tend to have too many ideas sometimes that it turns my songs into a muddy mess. BUT... I kinda want this one to be a bit sludgy! It's played in D standard for that reason (basically Drop C without "dropping" the fat string!) & with the direction it is going.... many guitars, distorted bass, reverbed drums.... I am worried it's gonna be too sludgy/muddy & the beauty of the music will get lost in all the noise. While it is "post-rockish", I did have some ideas lyrically. We shall see where that goes... but in the meantime, here's an instrumental version of my newest song from December 2025. I used my Premium Ibanez RG in the drop tuning & my ESP/LTD EC1000 in standard tuning, mainly for the "lead" stuff so I wouldn't have to play it so far up the neck. But these 2 guitars mix together beautifully. (They are 2 of my most expensive, so go figure!). For bass I used the LTD B-204 ran through the Spark. 1 bass track is clean & another is distorted. Drums are a very simple 6/8 time signature at 80 bpms. I love this tune... enjoy!

How powerful nature is, how unique and diverse—how many colors it has, how many shapes, how many creatures it has produced, how long it has survived without help. How many magnificent things it has created, nature... if one were to search for a definition of life, it would be the answer to all questions. It is life itself. It creates it, it changes it, it is the mother of evolution.
It even created us, but... were we perhaps just a mistake of nature? An error in its gene pool of diversity?

This world has survived for billions of years without our intervention... and yet we humans think that we are the greatest creatures on this planet... because we can change it, shape it according to our ideas... because we... can outsmart nature itself... by creating clones and breeding plants that have never existed before... We... the wonderful humans who elevate ourselves to godlike status, without respect for what life has given us. With all the possibilities we know, we are destroying the mother of all life, yet no one is paying attention... 

She trembles (increasing earthquakes), she cries (increased floods and rainfall), she is angry (volcanic eruptions), she is furious (increased hurricanes around the world), she is powerless and frozen like ice (cooling warm currents in the oceans), she is dying (extinction of many species) – and we... are dying with them all... we just don't know it yet, or don't want to admit it...
in less than 1,000 years, humans have almost destroyed the legacy of life... nature... this planet... less than 1,000 years... a billion-year-old... legacy of life... and time...

I was able to repiecqe an acoustic progression that I recorded a couple of years ago. I've redone a couple parts, as well as added some electric work and ambience. Still in progress, but it's turning out decently, I suppose.

I have played guitar since the age of 14 (around 1990 give or take) & I still play to this day... only now instead of playing live or seeking to be in a band, I record my own music at home! I use Audacity software (free!) & basically use a mic to record my guitars, bass & vocals through my various guitar amps. Drums I "program" by downloading tracks from youtube & chopping them up to suit my needs. I write my own music as well as record covers. I'm not a singer & all of my vocals are achieved by doing multiple vocal tracks to create a harmony that is otherwise lacking. Sometimes the results are ok, sometimes it sucks. Either way, making music & taking care of my cats are the 2 main reasons I am on this Earth. I hope you enjoy some of my stuff!

Music is the object of my hyper-focusing ways! 😂 I'm primarily a guitarist, although I've really taken to the piano in the last five years or so. The two reinforce each other in positive ways, I've found. But I digress. 
Most of the songs here I've written for a personal  soundtracking-type project. I have a collection of old family 8mm films from the 1950s through the 1970s, which were preserved (thankfully) and digitized. Thing is, they had no audio. So, a year and a half later, 75+ videos into the project, and about, I'd say, 12 more videos to soundtrack? Generational contribution: complete! 🤘🏼🎸
It's really been a cool experience trying to capture different moods for different videos. It was also special to spend so much time with film of a group of people who had such a profound impact on who I have become - but seeing them here "pre-me". Seeing my grandparents dance together and go about their daily lives on film, being younger than I am now. Generations of leaves... 
I love almost all types of music. Recently, I've been listening to Curtis Mayfield, Paco de Lucía, Michael Hedges, Yes, Deftones, The Mercury Program, Ólafur Arnalds, September Malevolence.
