New York City's The Dayoffs are back on Emerald Doreen bringing along some of their VIP friends to the show: Justin Welch [from Elastica] as well as James Atkin [from EMF]

Even if this album is not truly 'brand new' - it gives a new vision of songs The Dayoffs have released on their debut self-titled album (out on Emerald & Doreen 3 years ago).

Different discovers the back side of the songs recorded in the quite rock'n'roll and happy manner. This time, with a huge help from friends & family, the Dayoffs wanted to have one more trip with the same old tunes but choose an opposite direction. Nothing Is Real landed for the 28th release with “Disco Knife” by Sugar Rody. Co-founder of the mighty Dark Disko night in Tallin, he delivered a post-punk synth-wave 5 tracks EP, which includes two amazing remixes by the label friends Mufti and Gunce Aci.
‘Disco Knife’ captures the attention with the main synth, that followed by the vocal from the iconic duo Local Suicide, gently drives the composition hugging the dark and distorted guitar solo melody. The second track ‘Jean Claude’ with his psychedelic guitar and leads, it transports the listeners in a cosmic journey. This is a truly original and mesmerizingly piece of Dark Wave music. The Mexican master Mufti did a remix treatment to this track, giving a special night driver twist with his unique new wave fingerprint.
The third track ‘On The Run’ has an Italo-disco soul, composed by rolling bassline and synth pop melodies.
Finishing off the release is the remix by the Turkish artist based in Istanbul Gunce Aci, which makes a fantastic disco-dub version of the main track ‘Disco Knife’, delivering a pure energetic bliss for every body-mover on the dancefloor.

Here is Adrián Peña Sánchez, aka Calystarr’s fresh release on Emerald & Doreen called „Garden of Eden“, featuring smashing remixes by MAN2.0, Neurotiker and Pumuki. Calystarr is a DJ, producer and electronic researcher from Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz). 

His style could be compared like night and day, on the one hand, dynamism and depth and on the other, elegance and freshness. Their sounds are full of psychedelic atmospheres full of harmony using nuances and resources, in most cases, of a retrospective nature. 

Calystarr usually works under many musical influences, mainly betting on retro and underground indie sounds. It is expected that Nudisco, Italo, Indie Dance, Acid, and Dark Disco styles will be heard in their sets and productions.

The Robot Scientists are Markus Schneider and Stefan Maurer, two music connoisseurs, DJs and vinyl collectors from Saarbrücken, Germany. They are two of three behind Emerald & Doreen Records which they founded in 2011, with releases on the edges of Italo Disco, Dark Disco and Indie Dance. 

They also run the premiere and DJ podcast series Something Spæcial since 2013 which is one of the leading indie dance channels on Soundcloud.
