Presenting their second release of the year, Pedro Capelossi’s Refraction imprint welcomes Chiari to the label for his debut EP. Healing from Brazil, Chiari first emerged in 2019 on the strength of releases for The Purr and Magician on Duty. With a deep, organic and groovy sound, the Balneário Camboriú resident was quickly tipped as a new artist to watch going forward. The next three calendar years would see Chiari choose his projects wisely, adding Hoomidaas, Seven Villas and Where The Heart Is to his discography, while refining his repertoire with further depth, colour and detail. A remix of Pedro Capelossi’s ‘Horimono’ via Loot Recordings ended 2023 on a high note, ultimately leading to his first release of 2024, and subsequent Refraction debut ‘Plans & Plants’, alongside remixes from Retza and Luis Leon.

After Ian's successful debut with "Loft Music" in 2022, he returns to Paisley Dark Records with his latest work, "Many Times." This time, Ian's music takes a new direction, guiding listeners from the airy heights of the glass roof loft to the atmospheric depths of the basement, where smoke and lasers create a mesmerizing ambiance. The tracks are characterized by relentless four-to-the-oor kicks and shimmering arpeggios, aimed at inspiring movement in the hips.

Mysterious Dutch producer SUBFICTION is set to share his third EP, glitch / error_1312, on May 24th, 2024 via On Track / SUBFICTION. The two-track EP consists of previously-released ‘we_glitch’, which premiered via Electronic Groove, and a new belter titled ‘error_1312’. Since the project’s inception in 2022, the year in which he notably played an official after-show for Ross From Friends, the elusive SUBFICTION has been making waves in the music industry with no signs of slowing down. He has toured the Netherlands alongside De Likt and legendary travelling festival The Popronde as 3voor12 talent, and performed at festivals like Grasnapolsky, Motel Mozaïque and Eendracht Festival, as well as many underground clubs. In 2023, SUBFICTION hosted a festival stage together with Irish DJ/producer Kessler's new label Elicit Records. Unstoppable, in January 2024 the veil-draped maestro participated in Eurosonic Noorderslag and was awarded the number 12 of best acts by 3voor12.

SUBFICTION is a veiled artist and guide of absorbing audiovisual worlds. Otherwise, little else is known of him - his biography is shrouded in mystery. All that is known is that he “was born with a veil, a synthesiser and a drum computer. It's all [he’s] ever known”. Within Rotterdam, SUBFICTION seemed to appear and disappear, often unannounced, at festivals and underground parties over the past two years.  SUBFICTION is known for his electrifying live performances accompanied by flashy, futuristic visualizers made through a bridge between Ableton and reactive colourful image shaders, analogue instruments and live performance. Regardless of his elusive identity, he captivates audiences from festivals to underground raves with his infectious concoction of melancholic breakbeats, IDM and narrative-driven house and hip-hop. While his debut EP SOLO puts an emphasis on the more serious and cinematic part of SUBFICTION, his second EP weird glitches ‘n’ other shakes represents the more irreverent, club-minded side of this mysterious artist. Influenced by experimental electronic luminaries like Aphex Twin and Overmono, his sound is sure to be enjoyed by fans of the aforementioned as well as those of Four Tet, Bicep and Fred Again.

Both tracks on the EP deftly draw influence from UK warehouse styles. ‘we_glitch’ is an epic piece of Future Garage music, featuring a distorted, gritty breakbeat, mesmerising synths and glitchy, pitched-up vocals, creating a hypnotic listen that is impossible not to move to. ‘error_1313’ right out the gates hits the listener with a driving tempo and an off beat hi-hat, bouncy bass tones augmented with decorative vocals. SUBFICTION delivers a spicy dance floor groove that builds into an expansive yet delicately poised work sure to set dancing feet ablaze. 

SUBFICTION shared: “I made the we_glitch / error_1312 EP with two UK warehouse type belters that embrace the repetition-based origin of house music with modern glitchy breakbeats and pitched vocals. Both the tracks have a bass heavy beat switch to surprise and switch up dance floors.”
