He may not be a familiar name to you yet Dim Zach is a rare occurence: a charismatic, talented DJ turned prolific producer and songwriter who, having imposed himself through sheer talent and hard work, has become ubiquitous in his country, Greece. A shift many dream of, although few achieve as successfully. And for good reason, blessed with a mission (real name) Dimosthenis Zachariadis rarely fails to generate feelgood emotions, beaming up listeners to the dancefloor of an imaginary Mediterranean nightclub of his own hedonist creation.

A self-confessed work-alcoholic with a relentless output, this multitasker juggles as many projects as he can lay his hands on: remixing new artists as well as old hits, releasing on plethora of major and independent labels, having in time proved himself as seasoned songwriter and live artist in his own right - he's behind electro pop band Liebe with vocalist/guitarist George (three albums to date including, the last, 'Revolution of Love' on Emerald & Doreen). Notwithstanding this punitive studio schedule still allows him to deejay in clubs and host a couple of weekly radio shows on popular stations (his sound does wonders on the airwaves).

It all starts with a deep passionate love for the tunes that make you dance, essentially the golden eras of 80s' funked-up electronic pop and 90s' classic house variations (which combined laid the foundations for today's widespread dance culture). Filling the gap between commercial and underground, Dim Zach opts blindly for a more visceral mantra: good music creates good vibes. A blueprint effortlessly managed on his brand new album gathering fresh compositions as well as remixes of Emerald & Doreen artists (noticeably The Sweeps for which he reworked a full 5-track EP!). 

Operating outside ephemeral trends and limiting tags, 'Ingredients of Love' digests many distinguished influences (Imagination, Aeroplane, Dubstar, 'Fade To Grey', 'La Serenissima' etc) yet always sounds like the work of his tasteful originator; accessible yet never dishonest, contrived nor stale. Alongside slick beats, rolling basslines, glittering percussive synthesisers and cascades of swirling catchy hooks, the ear-candy melodies on offer, sometimes deliciously naive, are always heartfelt and generous, transcending categorisations and time. Pardon Moi is the Berlin-based New Wave Duo featuring the British producer and song writer James Brook & German producer and DJ Thomas Freudenthal. „Addiction“ sounds like John Foxx and Gary Numan joined forces with the global chug, dark disco and synth wave haute volée. This track would have been in the UK Top 20 in 1981, for at least three weeks, we are sure! And the remixes are great too! The Kike am Radar remix adds some high noon post-punk edge to the game, James Rod turns „Addiction“ into a dusty, slow motion new wave monster from outer space. K-Effect turn it into a chuggy synth wave groove and MontCosmic's punchy remix is maybe the tightest of them all with its anthemic vocals, driving new beat acid synths, hypnotic grooves and heavy handclaps. Valentin Ortiz aka Nodo was born in Santa Rosa, La Pampa. Since the early beginnings, music has been playing an important role in him, participating in bands and collaborating with other musicians. A warm welcome to the Hungarian producer talent SNYL on our imprint with his debut release "Sci-Fied". After releases on labels such as SINCOPAT, ICONYC, Perspectives Digital or Beat Boutique were happy to have two smashing Original tracks rolling down on our floor. Title track "Sci-Fied" comes along with a lot of energy and keeps the dark mood all over the full distance with a spacy vocoder highlight. "In My Head" with the beautiful vocals of Canadian artist Jessica Zese is the second track, having a mystic atmosphere and keeps the focus on a fabolous bassline. Returning to their JEAHMON! home, both Marc DePulse and Rafael Cerato teamed up for a remix and put their Capulet-fingers on "In My Head" with the typical handscript.

MIMS is hyped to premiere an epic new remix of Fred Everything's sought after house hit "Here (Now)" by the king of space disco himself, Prins Thomas.

A 10-minute space disco journey as only Prins Thomas can deliver, his "Diskomiks" incorporates elements from both the original 2003 version and Fred's 2020 update.

Back in 2003, nearly 20 years ago now, Fred Everything released 2 albums  on Ralph Lawson’s 20:20 Vision, alongside a heap of singles and remixes. In between those albums, he released a single called 'Over You'. Unexpectedly, the b-side, "Here (Now)" turned into a bit of a hit!  

One fan was Ian Pooley, who always told Fred it was the his best track ever. And as recent as 2019, Ian picked it for a feature in Telekom Electronic Beats about his top 5 B-Side tracks, overnight boosting the Discogs price for the original EP to 100 EU.

Fred felt inspired to dig out the song from his archives. Finding all the original stems he couldn't resist putting a new spin on the song himself. But he wasn't done there and could see it being a good opportunity for reinterpretation. 

Fred tells us, "when I dug out this project, I instantly thought of Prins Thomas as I’m a big fan of his and could hear his cosmic touch on this. It helped that I was working with him on another alias project for his label at the same time. He felt bad that the remix was 10 mins long but I embraced that. It’s a rarity these days for music to really take its time to live and breath. Extremely pleased with the result!"

Digital is out later this week  but you can order the vinyl from a number of stores now.
