I always feel like

I've always wanted to give this one the Copycat makeover, but never really dared to. It is simply sacrosanct, in my book. A while back a few promising ideas popped up, however. During the recent Christmas holidays, I finally found some time and courage to try them out—and here’s the result. Hope you like it!

Submerged
The diver descended into an underwater cavern drawn by the allure of the submerged cosmos. The dub techno beats grew louder, enveloping him in a surreal labyrinth of sound and light. He lost all sense of time and space, transported to a parallel universe where strange creatures swam alongside him. As he ascended, he realized that the experience had forever changed him, the haunting melody of the dub techno universe echoing through his consciousness.

Bio/
Emesh, led by Antonio Muñoz, blends creative music production across electronic, ambient, slow trance, and IDM genres. Hailing from La Alcarria, Spain, he's been crafting diverse sounds on Sendero Records since 2013—ranging from danceable beats to soothing melodies, drawing inspiration from 80s pop and electronic music. Antonio's journey as a musician and therapist began as a DJ in Spain's club scene, later expanding to Madrid's renowned venues. Evolving his skills, he delved into music production, mastering various instruments and exploring sound therapy rooted in shamanic practices. Notably, his track was featured at the London Music Conference in 2020, showcasing his talent on a global stage. Currently, he's immersed in his studio, Elul, recently completing an indie electronic EP with Miss Zagato, with more releases slated for 2024. Stay tuned for his latest creations.

Dear Karl,

A few years back, I did a cover of your lovely ”She’s the one” for my wife’s birthday. A wonderful timeless classic up there with the very best love songs, if you ask me (and her)—with lyrics so simple yet so pregnant, which truly sum up a longstanding loving, secure and deeply connected relationship and journey of life. 

A very emotional moment, for us both, I assure you. Not least with my vocals really stretching the patience of my audience and challenging the well-laid boundaries of our relationship...

In light of the tragic news of your passing, I won’t disrespect you nor the public at large by posting that very version. Some things just should be kept private; I am sure you agree. Instead, here’s my arrangement/instrumental of it—with your voice on top. 

Thank you for the music, for your talent, and for this song in particular. It will always mean the world to me and us.

Mexican label Kyma Komplex welcomes emerging artist Oto Veltauri, with his debut LP, "Dark Celebration”. a solid, electrifying journey. Influenced by the experimental works of Georgian composer Natela Svanidze and her groundbreaking piece "Epitaphium" (1974), Oto Veltauri explores into modular synthesis sounds from outside this dimension.

"Dark Celebration" blends musical genres, incorporating elements of lo-fi, acid, dark, and hypnotic vibes to create a powerful and introspective voyage. From the nostalgic sounds of 1980s drums to the pulsating basslines and ethereal samples, each track offers something distinctive and captivating.

Featuring four tracks performed on a vintage Moog Modular synthesizer from the 1960s, "Dark Celebration" showcases Oto Veltauri's evolution as a musician. While the tempo may have slowed compared to previous works, the tracks on this LP are characterized by their voluminous and varied compositions, offering a dynamic listening experience.

Nothing Is Real landed for the 28th release with “Disco Knife” by Sugar Rody. Co-founder of the mighty Dark Disko night in Tallin, he delivered a post-punk synth-wave 5 tracks EP, which includes two amazing remixes by the label friends Mufti and Gunce Aci.
‘Disco Knife’ captures the attention with the main synth, that followed by the vocal from the iconic duo Local Suicide, gently drives the composition hugging the dark and distorted guitar solo melody. The second track ‘Jean Claude’ with his psychedelic guitar and leads, it transports the listeners in a cosmic journey. This is a truly original and mesmerizingly piece of Dark Wave music. The Mexican master Mufti did a remix treatment to this track, giving a special night driver twist with his unique new wave fingerprint.
The third track ‘On The Run’ has an Italo-disco soul, composed by rolling bassline and synth pop melodies.
Finishing off the release is the remix by the Turkish artist based in Istanbul Gunce Aci, which makes a fantastic disco-dub version of the main track ‘Disco Knife’, delivering a pure energetic bliss for every body-mover on the dancefloor.
