Came up from an unknown place inside John Distefano's mind, Good Morning Finch hail from a small city on the southern coast of Sicily (Italy) called Agrigento.
After 2 EPs - released on 2011 and 2013 - and several gigs played, the post-rock trio became four-piece dream-rock band and started to work on their debut album "Gemini",  released by W//M Records on March 9th 2015

I Good Morning Finch sono John, Lillo, Gloria e Gregorio. Nascono in un luogo imprecisato nella mente di John, una notte, nel 2010. La prima formazione mette alla luce “40 Years Ago”, il primo EP, le cui copie sono state nascoste a Dublino ed Edimburgo, in vari luoghi della città. Alla pubblicazione seguono diversi concerti, alcuni dei quali in apertura a band come Diaframma, Oratio e Waines. Nel 2012 si aggiudicano la vittoria dell’Indie Concept Festival in occasione dell’esibizione al Barbara Disco Lab di Catania. Nel 2013, con la formazione attuale, esce il secondo EP dal titolo “Cosmonaut”, un concept a base di esplorazioni spaziali, cosmonauti perduti e romanticismo filosovietico. Il brano “Running Away on Undine Asteroid” viene incluso nella compilation Viscere vol.1 prodotta da Stop Records e “Sputnik Girl” finisce su Ambilogue pubblicata dall’etichetta tedesca Pinmusik. Il tour di Cosmonaut vede i Good Morning Finch impegnati in diverse tappe in Italia condividendo il palco con band quali Valuna e Luminal. Nel febbraio del 2015 il singolo “La stagione delle eclissi” anticipa l’uscita per l’etichetta Waves for the Masses del primo album dal titolo “Gemini”.
