The track entitled, “Better,” will be the 2nd single leading up to our first full-length album. This new blues/pop-inspired track has our “JohnnyDarling” signature groove but with an R&B feel to it. We cover a lot of different topics in our music and this record is not like our usual stuff. We always try to pull inspiration from our own life experiences. This is a topic that has affected both of us and many others all around the world, depression. This is a topic that is not discussed enough or prioritized as highly important. We want to break that stigma and share our own experiences as to why this should be an important discussion. We understand what it’s like to feel alone, wake up on the wrong side of the bed, and the struggle of not being able to open up. No matter how hard we try, the important thing is we always keep the mindset to be “better.” We can’t give up on this battle and have to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We realize that if we really look deep inside ourselves, we’ll find things that are overlooked but important to our life and are blessings. Whether it’s being able to wake up to a new day, having our loved ones around us, or knowing that we have the opportunities to change, these are all blessings and things to help us get through our day. To anyone who has felt like this or needs a voice saying to keep pushing, this one's for you. We all need each other in this world. Let’s work together and help each other overcome these battles.
