Obtuse Swamp's second ecosystem "Hadal Biocenosis" is the result of two years of sonic exploration by Leipzig-based artist Kontinum. Moving from conventional techno to a more bass-oriented sound, he left his comfort zone and experimented with unusual grooves and textures for this release. The EP is rounded off by two remixes from french dub expert Són du Maquís and fellow Leipzig producer Esgeem.

"I created this track a few years ago, it was my first exploration into unconventional glitchy rhythms and structures. It marks a turning point in my artistic journey—breaking free from creative constraints and embracing a more fluid, unrestricted approach to making music." 


Rizoma Granulare embodies the symbiotic relationship between electronic music and the intricate horizontal growth of rhizomes, resulting in a release that finds its roots in a subterranean sound realm, where granular textures and hypnotic rhythms intertwine through an intricate musical ecosystem. Listeners are invited to experience the interplay of stretched grain resolutions and primal bass syncopations pulsing from the depths of each artist's introspection. Flourishing organically, the music branches out in unpredictable directions.

It is a project that marks the beginning of something powerful and deeply resonant.

Qi is an artist from Yerevan, Armenia ~ exploring transformation, intuition, and connection through immersive, ritual-inflected sound. She is also the founder of Siooqh, a label for sonic storytelling inspired by nature, ancient echoes, and inner alchemy

Qi is not only an incredibly gifted artist, but also a beautiful human being who has become a dear friend that is deeply treasured.

Her music carries both intensity and soul, and I couldn't be more excited to share this journey with her— and with all of you.

Her sonic journey is bewitching and transcends rhythmic ecstasy. It symbolises vibrating liberation and a deep ritualistic hypnosis ~ the embodiment of divine darkness, inner alchemy and collective euphoria.
