I was clearing out my laptop and discovered the live recording of my first ever solo set from back in March. I didn't upload it at the time as I'm a perfectionist but listening back now I'm really proud of my baby DJ self as I'd only been DJing for six months when I did this set! It opens with one of my favourite tracks by one of my favourite producers ever - Octo Octa - then takes you on a journey of chicago house, tribal house, pumping house, UKG, speed garage, a mashup by yours truly and some 90s gems including a couple rips from my precious vinyl collection.

The set was at Nightbird, the amazing night ran by Chess & Shamaya showcasing up and coming female DJ talent.

London based producer, DJ & label boss @papanugs has a serious obsession with  late 90s/early 2000s tech & electro house, all the way to modern day bass driven & progressive. He oscillates between all these, whilst still managing to stay true to UK scene and sound from which he came.

Based in Bali, Tim has been part of the electronic music scene since 2009, starting his journey as a DJ in Jakarta’s vibrant club circuit, playing at venues like Barcode, 365, Exodus, X2 and many more. His sound is deeply rooted in the underground, shaped by a love for old-school styles, particularly trance and progressive house.

Tim began producing in 2012 and spent 2015 to 2017 honing his skills in psychedelic trance. During this period, his work caught the attention of respected names in the genre, including Aly & Fila, John 00 Fleming, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, and Solarstone—support that continues to inspire him.

This year, Tim is embracing a new chapter, exploring his deeper roots. We’re talking old-school house, progressive house, breaks, electro, and other subgenres of house. His latest EP “Future Discovery”, released on vinyl under the Perk X label and distributed by Subwax, has received recognition from James Zabiela, Mr. Ho, Baldo, Olivia Xiaolin, and Aiden Francis.

With more music in the works, Tim remains dedicated to sharing his passion for underground sounds, crafting tracks that bring his evolving vision to life on dance floors everywhere.
