From Garage and 2-Step to Afro House, my goal was to create a seamless tapestry, blending genres that are all interconnected by house and dance, while taking you on a journey. It also highlights the global evolution of the genres, from the UK to NYC and beyond. I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I hope it keeps you locked in and grooving—whether you're at home, on your way to work, or powering through a workout. Flip The Lid is here on a monthly basis with the aim of 'flipping the lid' on some of most exciting artists across the globe, as well as recognising some of the mainstays of the scene. Expect a mixed bag of sub genres within the harder, rave side of dance music with a nod of homage towards progressive, trance-like and heavy hitting house music and bouncy groove-inspired techno. Get2kno live 2.0 b2b with Josh CK is up for your listening pleasure…! The theme for this month is ‘I wish I was at Glasto’, the fomo hit HARD this year but we were happy to transport the listeners to the field for an hour of club-ready tunes that were farm-worthy (see what I did there?). 

Starting off at 134bpm it’s a journey of acid, trance, 90s sleaze, breaks, jersey club ending with some grab-your-friend-for-a-cuddle dubs of classics. It wasn’t a planned show and I was especially excited to get to play D Tyrone’s dreamy Mala edit that I’ve been obsessed with for ages but haven’t had a chance to play! Also features brand spankin new goodness from the incredible Amaliah and Om Unit.

We had some technical issues at the start so the mic intro is a tad late and a bit messy, forgive us and blame the gremlins! Also some silly chat about how to pronounce Pangaea and whether the Horny Mix featured was horny enough for our liking.
