NO SMOKING RECORDINGS was founded by No 1 Turkish House artist - DJ TARKAN and Greece superstar V-SAG in March 2005. In 2015 Label start new vision, sound and emotion with their new A/R manager - Ivan Deyanov (Bulgaria) The label, which is the first collaboration between a Turkish and a Greek producer, uplifts the deep, tribal and progressive house scene. They have intiated a campaign for the understanding of the music "as is", giving people the opportunity to discover the true meaning of music, as many of us prefer only having "chemically enhanced fun" instead of choosing what the music's pure form can provide.

Why NO SMOKING RECORDINGS?

Not only as DJs but also as just one within the crowd, they have been always enjoying music without limits, expressing their love while dancing and listening carefully to every single bassdrum. By choosing only quality music, they invite people to follow the way of "NO SMOKING" life, saving their health and helping their bodies by proving that they can understand and feel all of it's physical power.

Abel Meyer is a DJ and producer from Argentina, with more than 20 years of experience. His latest music production works are oriented to the sounds of Melodic Techno and Progressive House.
Owner and CEO of the Connections Records label since 2016.

With his sets he reached the Top 1 in sales on Beatport Mixes twice, sharing Top Charts with with artists such as Paul Van Dyk, Todd Terry and Fedde Le Grant among others.
He was a Finalist in the Beatport and Pioneer DJ Global DJ Competition 2021, and winner of the Armin Van Bureen and Phillips Sound DJ Contest in 2014.

In 2021 his released remixes for ARRVL Records and joined to this label from London as producer.

Abel Meyer's YouTube channel has more than 2.5 million views and was distinguished in the "Music" category in YouTube Space LA.
He was a jury in outstanding DJ competitions, searching new local talents in Argentina.

He was part of the line up of events sharing the stage with Paul Oakenfold, Robbie Rivera, John Acquaviva, Wally Lopez, David Penn, Abel Ramos, Droplex, Anthony Pappa, Circulation, Manuel De La Mare,
among the most prominent, and had the support of Hernan Cattaneo in his most recent tracks.

Con sus sets alcanzó el Top 1 en ventas en Beatport Mixes en dos oportunidades, junto a artistas como Paul Van Dyk, Todd Terry y Fedde Le Grant entre otros.

The Barcelona producer has been regular in many top artist playlists, known for his luscious beach and chill sound

Medsound managed to progress thru an array of music styles over the years, with his first steps into the world of music in the 90’s, playing in different Indie Rock bands, before he started evolving and growing into the electronic music producer he is today.

His particular vision of electronic music has a big influence from 80’s music and vintage gear 
​
He is an enthusiast and collector of analogue classic synthesisers and the ‘old school’ way of mixing with hardware in the studio
​
In 2017 he founded Beach Lounge Records, where he releases part of his productions since then, and promoting releases of new talented producers 
​
Besides music he has produced several popular sample libraries for brands like Zenheiser, Sample Magic, Splice and designed presets libraries for Synthesisers 

He feels confortable as a studio producer, but he always likes to find time and events where to DJ and feel live music

Besides his home town Barcelona, Medsound calls Formentera, Balearic Islands, with which he has had a great bond since childhood, his second home. The island serves him as base during the summer, a place he uses to gather inspiration and to soak up the warm felt atmosphere, which he employs into what has become his legendary signature sound.
