I'm a composer who’s a sucker for moments.  Films have a gravitational pull on me.  I often use folk instruments and techniques in non-folk contexts.  Accordion, mandolin, guitar, and banjo player.

I've had a few piano lessons and one violin and banjo lesson, but other than that most of my musical knowledge is self-taught or from online tutorials. The total list of instruments I own is:
* Acoustic Guitars (Full-size, half-size and 12-String), Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Guitanjo, Violin, Mandolin, 12-String Harp, Ukulele, Baritone Ukulele.
* Clarinet, Flutes (practice and concert), Ocarinas(!), Pan Pipes, Harmonica, Soprano, Alto and Tenor Recorders, Melodica, 5 Tin Whistles, Toy Trumpet, Toy Horn, Mini Accordion
* Keyboard, Glockenspiel, Xylophone, Bongos, Desktop Drumkit, Maraca, Jaw Harp
* Microphone, Guitar Amp, Bass Amp, Glass, Chrome, Brass and Porcelain Slides, Chorus and Distortion Pedals

I'm also a big fan of alternate tunings, modal scales, odd time signatures and various national folk music (Celtic, Scandinavian, Finnish, Spanish, Romanian, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, Malian, Mexican, Peruvian). I've also recently been getting into early 20th century composers like Debussy, Ravel, Mahler, Schoenberg, Stravinsky, Bartok and Shostakovitch.

Beyond music my other big interests are writing (you may see some audio readings of mine posted in the near future), art (even though my own drawing skills are quite limited), history, mythology, geography and fashion (though I have zero interest in trends).
