ARTC are an alternative indie Rock band from the Northeast, they were were brought together by a mutual respect for the same genres of music, Atmospheric/Epic/ Indie Soundscapes, influenced by such bands as Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, The Editors & Explosions In The Sky, Abel Raise The Cain aspire to create & mould their own sound to reach people in the same way.

They spend their time, creating wall of sound, Euphoric, indie rock/pop songs, that soar and float through the airwaves like a tidal wave of emotion and energy, this is mirrored in their live performances which are something to behold with a 6 strong team taking to the stage to build a huge wall of sound that comprises an eclectic mix of instruments, samples and melodies. With a string of singles and an album named ‘For Strangers Only’ under their belt the band continue to work on new material with the sound evolving from release to release.

Releases so far have been met with widespread critical acclaim with support coming from influential people such as Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing in the Northeast to making waves as far away as Brazil when a Brazilian National Radio station play listed the single ‘Too Late’ which also went on to be featured by channel 4 on A prime time TV show.

The single Black Swans went straight to the top of the beat 100 world chart and later led to the band receiving the coveted  ‘Outstanding Artists Award’ , the latest release ‘Every Rise’ ,was picked up by BBC Introducing and chosen as their track of the week and later chosen as one of the best tracks of the year on the BBC Introducing best of Christmas list.
