A song I wrote a few years ago when my best friend went behind my back and started seeing my (very recently) ex-boyfriend. It wasn't that she was seeing him that bothered me but that when I found out and asked her, she lied to my face, and I couldn't believe she would do that to me. Chords are G D for the verse, Em C Am D for the pre-chorus, Em C G D for the Chorus and G D Em C for the bridge. Lyrics are:

Betrayed

I wrote this song when I applied for Head Girl at my school and then did not get the role, to which I was very disappointed as it was something I had aspired to do for many years. Looking back on the year that has passed now I realise that not getting the role really was a blessing in disguise, but I couldn't see it at the time. This is a recording I did with Ilya in the studio of our song Be For Me (the very first song I uploaded here as a raw recording). We layered my voice in the second and final choruses and it changes the dynamic of the song greatly I feel. My voice is also more crisp in places as it has been recorded with a microphone not just my iPhone! It is a piece I am very proud of and I hope that we will ultimately finish this song with the harmonised verses I have also created. I hope you like it !
