Hadn't listened to this song in many months and just had it stuck in my head all today. Had to come listen again. Keep it up!

Broken

This is one of the most personal songs I have ever written and is about letting the light in and always moving forward whilst staying true to who you are. I wrote it at the end of last year and it's the song I knew I would write for months about making it through emotional difficulties and issues in life. The song isn't specific, so if you've ever felt like this I hope it provides you inspiration to never give up on yourself, no matter what you feel or where you are in your own life.

GOLD!

This song has taken over a year to finally be posted on SoundCloud but here it is! I wrote in February 2013 and it's probably my favourite song I've ever written. I originally wrote it for my niece and it was also one of the easiest songs to write due to what it was about and being really inspired in the moment. I released it back in May as part of my 'Firelight' EP, with both piano and vocals recorded in one take! I'm really proud of this one so I hope you enjoy it! :) Take a look at the lyrics below:

This is a recording I did with Ilya in the studio of our song Be For Me (the very first song I uploaded here as a raw recording). We layered my voice in the second and final choruses and it changes the dynamic of the song greatly I feel. My voice is also more crisp in places as it has been recorded with a microphone not just my iPhone! It is a piece I am very proud of and I hope that we will ultimately finish this song with the harmonised verses I have also created. I hope you like it !
