HOWL wasn't going to be my next release but I was playing with it for fun during lockdown and I thought it was sounding sweet! 
I doubled up them guitars, layered on those vox, and asked Gary Chamberlain, drummer with aweeeesome band The Strays to do some tub-thumping! And this is the delicious result!

What would the Earth say if it had a voice?
I used to do these more, and with everything going on with the world, stress, anxiety, the massive consequences of the outside world and being trapped in the minutia of the house for months, and the contrast between those things, what better time than to let a bit of it out and release the pressure valve in the brain?
And yes, I am ok!!
Just expressing various things in the form of one long unformed sentence.

Schrodinger's Heart

In Autumn 2020 I had a dream where I met an older fellow (who I've named Edward as he didn't have a name in the dream) and we had some epic adventures and became great friends! We went skydiving, filmed a movie he'd always dreamed of making, drove around in fancy cars... I was sad when I woke up because my friend was just a dream! So I wrote this song. I put a call out for collaborators and had some great recordings sent to me by Emilie Eleonor, The 4 O'Clock Robots, Loz Ruston, Richard Brown, and John McCabe! Put them altogether and here you get this quirky song!

On an island in the sky 
You owned a castle on a planet and I never questioned why

Edward

I wrote Hug as a stream of consciousness poem (a very cathartic thing to do; just write whatever comes to mind!) and then worked it into a melody. To me it feels like a tree that I kept hanging bits off, decorating it with little one off harmonies, sparkly strings of notes, over a chunky bassline costume jewellery necklace. It’s folky, simple, and I wanted it to be a moment of calm among all the mess and noise and stress of now.
