As per the junto instructions, I downloaded the Haydn track from where I would find my samples. I chose 4 samples, which was maybe a bit extravagant, but what do I know about minimal techno? I used Live's 'impulse' to create the actual beats using small snippets of the chosen samples. The rest were pitch shifted, stretched, filtered and compressed to varying degrees.  It runs at 125 bpm.
--this one was really fun for me, having never made techno before.
---Spawn of Slithus is an old b-movie that remains a legend in my past though I have never seen it and don't know if there was an original Slithus.

Back after a lengthy absence from the Disquiet Junto.

The prompt aligned perfectly with my ongoing research into bell-like tones through ring modulation and frequency shifting, inspired by Oren Ambarchi's work, in particular "Grapes From The Estate" (Touch). 
Electric guitar, mostly harmonics, through ring mod plus some atrocious, violent guitar bits and bobs from my archive.

Strange Planet music begins (disquiet0469)

I am a composer, sound designer and media artist. I like creating environments through sound, and exploring the sonic qualities of found sounds, field recordings and 'machine languages' of everyday things. I get inspired by constraints.
I have performed internationally as 1/2 of the duo Coin Gutter, and received international awards for the my installations and performances as part of Manufacturing Entertainment.
I work with performance artists, dancers, theatre companies, film/video artists, animators etc, creating experimental sound design for their work.
