Frühling in Berlin 1987. Ich fühle mich gefangen, mein Leben scheint zu stagnieren. Habe keine Eigeninitiative, fühle mich fremdbestimmt. Dazu passend, daß mich ein Freund irgendwohin fährt. Die Frau, die er dort trifft, ihr Blick, dem ich begegne, weckt mich schlagartig auf. Ein Song über den Zauber des unmittelbar sich verliebens, den damit verbundenen Glücksgefühlen und neuen Lebensfreude. Aber auch ein Gleichnis für das Leben an sich, in dem es wieder Phasen von Stillstand geben kann, in denen aber oft unterschwellig der Keim für einen Neustart, Aufbruch, vorankommen liegt.

Spring in Berlin 1987. I feel trapped, my life seems to stagnate. I don't have any initiative, I feel determined by others. To go with that, that a friend takes me somewhere. The woman he meets there, the look I meet, wakes me up suddenly. A song about the magic of falling in love immediately, the feelings of happiness and new joie de vivre associated with it. But also a parable for life itself, in which there can be phases of stagnation again, but in which the seed for a new beginning, departure, often lies subliminally.
