Maksim Dark Live - Fusion Festival 2022 (Turmbühne)

DJ Gigola and X-Coast are united by a love for playful, tongue-in-cheek party sound. On “G-COAST”, they team up for the first time and channel their shared passion into a bouncing, work-out ready club release. 

The EP features two individual interpretations of Gigola‘s vocals - this time in German and giving sexy. While DJ Gigola’s version of “Ich bin ready” adds a 2000s bounce-heavy vibe into the mix, X-Coast’s take is grooving along old school rave chords. Together, they create a unique up-tempo house style, which is sure to get you in the mood. “G-COAST” will be released on June 2nd via Live From Earth Klub (LFEK022) in both digital and physical format.

I remember clearly how Brudi Bennet called me yeaaaaars ago on his way back from his first Conscious Madness, being slightly overwhelmed by how amazing his weekend was and telling me „WE REALLY REALLY NEED TO COME HERE TOGETHER NEXT YEAR“. Thanks to Brudi going there, he also explored 10 Mark DJ Team who years later should become our north stars when we started DJing ourselves. Ever since we experienced every version of CM that happened and we’re not exaggerating  when saying it is the best Festival we know. Perfect size, most amazing ground, super lovely crew and just simply unforgettable times we got to spend there with old and new friends. Highlights were for example seeing Justus and JPettersson at the beach, Alma Linda / Elizen the emperor in the field, meeting DJ Einkaufswagen or seeing 10 Mark DJ Team living their best life. 

We were devastated when the crew announced they will give CM a break after the 2023 version and then super delighted when they shared in 2024 that next year will happen again in a bit of a more compact version. 
Once the ticket sale was announced we already had 15 friends committed - when two weeks later the crew reached out to us and asked whether we would like to play this year, we could not believe it as this was kind of a bucket list thing for us. We ended up playing Sunday night closing the Bunker and went for a rather deep and meaningful set ✨

This summer was wild, super fun and diverse - but this one goes into the history books of Brudi&Spargel. Ending up with 20+ Champions league friends at this unique place and spending a super lush summer festival including going back and forth to our accommodation by boat simply was ridiculous. Shoutout to Max Hunter-Gordon and Maya (who is the mastermind behind the closing track "the way u make me feel") for coming all the way from the UK to experience this weekend with us 🫶

Huge thanks to the whole CM family for the invite and the amazing space you created for everyone joining once again. Much much love from the bottom of our hearts, we could not be more grateful <3333

PS much love and thanks to ciao 3lla for letting us use her unreleased edit of Sebastian Roches edit of Gangsta's Paradise in the intro that she used in a DJ workshop we visited last winter as an example for something in Ableton <3

Have lots of fun with my latest live recording from the @palaisclub Closing on Sunday morning from 08:00 to 10:30 with the Bavaria Beats Crew.

It was an unforgettable journey, and apart from a few spots, I'm pretty happy with it :) Through the set, I got a bit carried away with the loops, but overall I'm happy and excited to release another live recording.  It's bouncy, it's driving, and it's meant to make you dance and forget everything for a while with 130 - 135 bpm :)

This time, it was for an all-nighter behind the decks. For this special occasion, we decided to do something different: a hybrid set, somewhere in between live and DJ.
Adding this extra dimension to the music created something truly unique — Frankey lost in keys and sound, while I focused on track selection and building towards a climax.
Being surrounded by so many friends from all over the world made it even better."

Empro grew up in Thuringia in East Germany during the late 80s. His interest on the variety of electronic music awakes in the mid-90s. Following the move to Berlin in 2000 and an intense journey through different styles of the new music movement, he quickly dipped into the scene and became an active part of it.

Until today techno music has not lost anything of its charm to him. Empro has the pleasure to play his music in clubs and on festivals all over the world. In 2012 he became a resident DJ at the world-famous club Sisyphos in Berlin.

Empros first DJ gig was in 2003 at Underground Berlin below Alexanderplatz. Numerous gigs followed and within a short time he played in Berlins most popular clubs like Panoramabar, Watergate, Tresor, Bar25, Maria, WMF and Polar TV.

You can describe Empros music as trippy, twisted, dynamic, organic, daisy and always forwards. He is well-known for his energetic enduring TechHouse Sets, alongside he invites everyone to listen, feel and enjoy the music and makes everybody dance like nobody is watching, also himself.

Taken by the desire to create something unique he founded together with Ruede Hagelstein the booking agency Mind The Crap in 2004. Afterwards he decided to set up his own and still ongoing business project „free agency“.

In 2011 he had his own Techno Club called Levee. Besides he is the initiator of varied party series in and around Berlin like HomeSweetHome (in co-op with Marcus Meinhardt) and Betriebsfeier (founded in 2003 together with Coco Berlin). Moreover he supported the Melt!Festival with organizing the Sleepless Floor for many years and was involved in festivals like SonneMondSterne, Fusion and Sonar OFF.

Apart from being a DJ all over, he released since 2006 his own productions and remixes on several labels like BAR25, Heinz Music, Upon.You Records and Freizeitglauben. Empro is currently back in his studio and you should watch out for his next releases.
