Note from 𝙳𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚎𝚗 𝚉𝚘𝚙𝚎𝚕, founder of ᴇᴍᴘᴛʏ6ᴘᴀᴄᴋ:
This album was recorded in Kalfarlien 18, an old house, incredible haven for madmen and lost souls, full of magical energy, old memories, strange objects… This is the residence of the Sundby in Bergen, Norway. Edvard Sundby is an unknown genius, a fantastic cellist, and a mystic in every way. His brother is a well-known jazz band drummer, with some experimental projects.
Axel Vildenes, frontman of Kakkmadafakka, lives nearby and made an agreement to install the recording studio inside Edvard's house for the entire duration of the 𝘏𝘶𝘴 album recording.
I happened to live in that same house at that time. Once or twice a week, they would come to the house, and we used to hear the band as they were listening to specific parts of the song over and over again; as if they were trying to find the perfect recipe.
For me that time of my life was very important and that is why I have a special affection for this album.

Pop X (/ˈpɔpper/ or /ˈpɔppiks/) is an Italian musical group formed in Trento in 2004 with Davide Panizza as founder and the only permanent member. Antille is the fifth studio album by Pop X. In Antille the sound is more refined than previous albums and the instruments have also grown in number and impact. Trumpets, pianos, percussion enrich the sound of Pop X giving it a surprising depth. Deviant pop, a nihilistic virtuosity. Surreal lyrics and gushing autotune that turn Davide's voice into another instrument.

E6P3.2 Pop X 💧 Antille (Snippet)

Anatolian psych-pop sensations Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek (pronounced ‘Shimshek’) are back with Dost (‘friend’) 1&2, which compiles the band’s both second and third album. Fronted by Berlin based, Turkish singer and multi-instrumentalist Derya Yıldırım and with members in France and Great Britain, the group is known for its contemporary takes on traditional Anatolian folk ballads whilst drawing on a heady mix of psychedelia, jazz and the omnivorous pop universe of the present day. Derya Yıldırım and her  trans-continental band of brothers and sisters are an essential guide for contemporary psychedelia.

While rooted in Anatolian tradition, Grup Şimşek (which translates into Ocean Lightning and the Thunderbolts, a play on Derya’s surname “Yıldırım”, which means lightning in Turkish) draws on a boundless cosmos of sounds and builds on the contribution of each band member. 

Derya Yıldırım explains: “In Dost 1 we tried to concentrate on the sound that we really like as a whole unit, focusing on each element and arranging and composing the songs all together.  Dost 2 is the second part of this adventure [and] it’s really important to actually consider us as individuals [...] with different influences and backgrounds.”

For over a decade, Dromedar has delivered juicy electro-marinated post-punk and particularly infectious dance music on Oslo's underground and art scene. With roots in performative scene and do-it-yourself music production, the band has grown into an hypnotizing and overwhelming show.

Dromedar is based in Oslo at Hausmania Kulturhus and is recognized as a community and a platform in the visual art and music scene.

El Sicariato presenta: Sorèze
Com una ombra subtil que es mou entre la història i el mite, El Sicariato irromp en el panorama musical amb Soreze, el seu primer EP, una obra impregnada de misteri, llibertat i psicodèlia. A mig camí entre el ritual i la revelació, El Sicariato és molt més que una banda; és una entitat col·lectiva, una fraternitat oculta amb un so que flueix i es descompon com les visions d’un somni. 

 “Sicarius: en plural sicarii, terme que feia referència als assassins que portaven la sica, una daga curta oculta sota la túnica. Sicari és algú que compleix la seva missió amb una eficàcia precisa, sense errors.” 

El Sicariato és un grup d’amics amb ganes d’experimentar amb la música: Verde Lima, Natel i Nil “el batero” Bribian, que comparteixen una trajectòria musical, un esperit indomable i una afinitat visceral per la música, amb tota una xarxa d’influències eclèctiques que s’entrellacen i prenen forma en aquest nou projecte.

Amb tots els instruments que poden carregar en un cotxe, els tres es llancen a una odissea creativa a la zona de Sorèze (sud de França). Allà es perden en el no-res, disposats a deixar que la inspiració sorgeixi quan i com vulgui. Cada moment del viatge és una oportunitat per improvisar, per deixar-se portar per la força dels ritmes i les melodies que apareixen com espurnes lluminoses. El resultat és "Sorèze", un conjunt de peces connectades per una energia compartida, on cadascuna porta un fragment d’aquell viatge.

Aquest EP es construeix al voltant de patrons de bateria i baixos en loop, sons de sintetitzadors i pianos que flueixen per espais ignots. Finalment, Guillem Callejón (Ramón Mirabet / Intana) a la guitarra, i Jordi Bosch (Rus Sonic / Cardamomo Studios) a les mescles, hi aporten el seu toc màgic per embolcallar l’obra amb una atmosfera gairebé espectral. 

Amb esperit casolà, es traça un camí d’honestedat artística: un viatge per als qui tenen ganes d’esbrinar l’univers fantasmagòric i envolvent que és Sorèze.

Drinking Juice (PROD MC WANK)

💊 QBRNTHSS (pronounced “quebrantahuesos”, meaning “bearded vulture” in Spanish) is the alias that Ramon Casamajó, musician based in Barcelona, uses for his solo works focused on experimental electronics. As QBRNTHSS he has released thr split LP “Harry Dean Stanton” (Call It Anything Records 2019), and the album "The Magic Words are Squeamish Ossifrage" (via the Sheffield label Interworld Media), and has performed live internationally. In his new album “Disorder” he follows the experimental stylistic line of wild textures and broken rhythms of his previous works, but introducing a twist to more synthetic, glitch and even rave sounds at times. He also incorporates the trumpet as a sound source in some tracks, a feature he has been using in his live shows for a while.

💥 L'Atelier v1 - La Nu Flesh
El projecte va néixer l’octubre de 2024 en un “home studio”, quan Lins EFX i Breitwieser treballaven en un LP. Durant la gravació d’un tema van aparèixer dificultats… Un sample inesperat va encendre la guspira: “Naked Lunch”, segon tall del disc, va marcar l’estètica de tot el projecte.
Les tres primeres cançons parteixen d’una mateixa peça musical (samples extrets d’un sol disc), que inicialment havien de conformar una sola peça extensa. El resultat va derivar en un EP de 7 tracks amb una línia sonora molt cohesionada. El disc és un experiment sonor que desafia els límits del rap convencional: beats amb poc o cap patró previsible, compressió mínima, resultant en un so brut i orgànic i transicions entre temes per simular una mixtape en cassette o una sessió de DJ

Influències destacades: Roc Marciano, Mach-Hommy, Sterling Toles, Nicholas Craven. Productors com Preservation (Aethiopes, Eastern Medicine, Western Illness) i The Alchemist (Russian Roulette, Yacht Rock)

L'Atelier s'inspira en el cinema de David Cronenberg, especialment en la seva teoria de The New Flesh (La Nova Carn), i també en la música progressiva, jazz-fusió i rare groove europeu dels 70s. S’utilitzen exclusivament samples extrets de vinils entre 1972 i 1977 i retalls d’entrevistes i films de Cronenberg. Per respecte al digging i per evitar el sample snitching, no es revelen els discos utilitzats.

Totes les cançons són originals de Breitwieser i Lins EFX. Cada una de les portades ha estat dissenyada per Reos, Dalien Zopel i Lins EFX, autor també de totes les il·lustracions.

L’àlbum ha estat gravat i mesclat a La Zipera Records (El Masnou) per Breitwieser i Lins EFX, i masteritzat per Ivan Vizcaya aka Ilogike.

Alcoholega Chungo (Mallorca) es la transformación de la monobanda Colega Chungo liderada por Narcís R.E. junto al alcohólico contrabajista Dani Godia.

Todo esto ocurre porque su buen amigo Jorge Parras viaja a Mallorca para hacer una exposición en el Panorama Art Bazar. Dani Godia y Narcís deciden acompañarle de manera musical en ese evento. Aprovechando la inercia deciden ir a los estudios Red Room de Felanitx para inmortalizar las canciones que interpretaron e inmortalizar ese momento para siempre.

Todas las canciones son originales de Colega Chungo. Cada una de las portadas ha sido dibujada a mano por Dani Godia, Narcís R.E, también han participado en algunas ilustraciones Marc Torices y Jorge Parras. Todo el álbum ha sido grabado y mezclado en Red Room (Felanitx, Mallorca) por Joan Prohens y masterizado por su hijo Franc Prohens. Editado por Edita Miguel y Empty 6 Pack.

Tot i que dos membres del grup són daltònics, Filipin Yess sempre ha estat un grup de colors. Aquest cop ha tocat el rosa: EP ROSA, un títol sense explicació concreta, una essència reflectida en 6 cançons que conformen el tercer treball de la banda. Plats precuinats, postes de sol, deliris i dolces melodies, tot això només entre setmana, perquè prou que els hi agrada. Només pensen en portar roba ampla per caminar ben tranquils —el que ara es diu relaxed fit. Records aleatoris que, si Elvis no hagués begut massa i encara fos entre nosaltres, segurament li farien il·lusió de reviure. Més que un EP, és un caramel.
