This vocoder kills me. It's really great!!! The interspersed ‘speech samples’ are also really good! As I have a big weakness for dark, atmospheric sounds, this song pushes all the right buttons for me.  I love stuff like this!  Really well done, especially when you consider that it was all made ‘just’ from your voice. Really good!

I love the glitchy stuff. and the creepy unsettling nature of it. the most impressive parts are the "movie samples" - considering it's all from you. the kick could have been a bit more substantial perhaps.

Martin The Herring Gull - Part 1

This here is an entry for the One Synth Challenge adjacent Super Mega Challenge. The brief was to use sounds produced with ones mouth only (with effects). Sadly, I can't sing (or write lyrics worth a damn) so the result is this. 14 tracks of mostly ooohs and aaaahs of various pitches along with some drum noises. Created in Tracktion Waveform Pro 13 mostly using its included MultiSampler and DrumSampler plugins. For the mangling, there's the inevitable Valhalla Supermassive along with IK's Tape Echo, CSR Hall and Bus Compressor, BabyAudio's Humanoid, iZotope's Trash 2, CableGuys ShaperBox3, Minimal Audio's Ripple Phaser and Cluster Delay, Waves Brauer Motion, and kHs Gate. We also have an appearance by iZotope Iris 2 and Imaginando's FRMS granular synth. As usual, we have dpMeter, BlueCat Gain and KClip 3 for Clip to Zero. Mastered using IK's Master X plugin.

This month was a real challenge!

When I looked at Odin, I came up with the idea of a true One (!) Synth Challenge – just a single instance, no excuses.
I dove deep into sound design and quickly realized: this would become a real borderline experience.

While endlessly tweaking, I kept discovering new sonic paths – sometimes inspiring, sometimes frustrating.
Odin could be pretty temperamental when dealing with MIDI, but in the end, I managed to shape something that feels raw, tense, and expressive.

So here it is: Grenzerfahrung (borderline experience) –
a track born from limitation, chaos, and way too many hours. ;)
