This is probably the most 'hipster' song I've recorded to date - it was recorded with my very first guitar; one that I got for Christmas from my parents back in 2010, and it has 4 year old strings, with a partially broken high e-string. Also, it's tuned to E-G#-B-F#-B-C#, something that I've never seen before. I started playing some William Fitzsimmons songs that used a strange alternate tuning, and ended up re-tuning a couple of more strings and ended up with this. After playing around with it I made a few songs with the tuning. This song is inspired by the sound of e.g. Nick Drake, Sufjan Stevens and Ben Howard.
