Antwerp based DJ and producer Kristoph di Martinelli has set his mind on rambling the club scene with deep house dance floor fillers. His debut solo single called "You Could Be My Lover", to be released on Clare Records, encompasses solid and clean deep house beats accompanied by the vocals of singer and multi-instrumentalist Sophie Galpin. Most people know Sophie from thundering on the drums for all girl UK rock band Pins. Apart from that, she has a mind-blowing voice and a vibrant rebellious attitude. A true incentive to the track.

Belgium’s music scene has few cornerstones. R&S set a first in the 80s, Soulwax came in the 90s and Eskimo emerged in the early 00s, its evolution since more colourful than all of them combined. Taking music into emotion, introducing new names and spotlighting the cream of the current crop, ‘The Orange Collection’ is bright, genial and buoyant. 

‘The Orange Collection’ is the latest installment in a new compilation series on Eskimo based around colours. Following the lauded first three chapters in this enterprising series -Pink, Blue and Green- Eskimo once again selected 12 songs with exquisite care. An effortless journey encompassing a range of sounds through indie dance, nu disco and electronica, it’s reassuring to find that Eskimo still stands for timeless quality and originality.
