Für die 59. Ausgabe unserer Podcastreihe ist Rafaele Castiglione zuständig. Der aus Fürth stammende Künstler hat sein musikalisches zu Hause bei Amselcom gefunden, wo er auch schon zahlreiche Tracks veröffentlicht hat. Des Weiteren hat er auf Beatwax Records und Wasabi Recordings Releases herausgebracht.
Rafaele ist für seine feinfühlige und gerne auch mal experimentelle Art zu produzieren und aufzulegen bekannt, was er mit dem bald erscheinenden Track „Ayahuasca“ (Amsel008) erneut unter Beweis stellt. 
In dem für uns entstandenen Podcast kommt vor allem seine Liebe zur orientalischen Musik zum Vorschein, dennoch überrascht er auch immer wieder mit unglaublich groovigen und zugleich unaufgeregten, treibenden Stücken. Wir sagen schon mal Danke Rafaele und wünschen euch viel Spaß mit diesem Hörgenuß!

MoM, DJ based out the Andalusia’s city of Cordoba.

His first experiences with mixing tables was back in

1989 when he was attracted by acid house music and

the latest pieces on funky and disco music. His first

professional experience at a DJ booth was around

techno music at clubs like Teiker and Plató, two of the

most renowned clubs in Cordoba.

In 1993 is when he started to listen to the first deep

records through WORKS music label. During this

period is when he met a DJ with more experience,

Miguel Martín who introduced him to the richness and

depth of electronic music. The Spanish music label

CONTRASEÑA was still publishing the latest records of

electronic guitar but it also had a special connection

with the dance floors through their depth.

Miguel’s influence on MoM was such, that even years

after Miguel’s death in 2009, he created a radio show

called “mut&mut” along with the speaker Jesús

Zamora. The name of the show was a tribute to “MUT”

the name of the only maxi-single published by Miguel

Martín.

MoM ́s experience and creativity allowed him to take

on a new professional challenge: leading Pep ́s

Records marketing department in Madrid.

After a few years of working and achieving good

results he decides to create Carta de Ajuste

Comunicación ,his own Management and Marketing

agency. During this period he performed sessions in

Córdoba, Sevilla, Tarifa, Caños de Meca, Marbella,

Madrid, along with various cities around Spain.

His sessions are mainly based on house and tech-
house but in 2009 he rediscovers his passion for deep

music and starts exploring with darker sounds and

slower speeds.

This is where his Chic ́n ́deep sessions were born, full

of depth, slowing down to even 120 BPM.

Dandara hat für uns die Nummer 68 aufgezeichnet, er besticht mit seinem langsamen, Südamerikanisch und Worldmusik angehauchten Sound der einen zum träumen verleitet. Der 26. jährige ist auf den Labels Berimbau und Drossel beheimatet und wohnt aktuell in der Schweiz. Ihn verschlägt es in naher Zukunft aber nach Mittel und Südamerika um dort die verschiedenen Kulturen aufzusaugen und um weiter an seiner Musik zu arbeiten. Wir sind sehr froh euch diesen fast nur aus Eigenproduktionen bestehenden Podcast präsentieren zu dürfen und sind schon auf euer Feedback gespannt. Jetzt aber Vorhang auf für Dandara!

Besides his work as DJ, he’s also head of Seasidetrip, a beautiful podcast series and label with plenty quality electronica. Rolandson is also resident DJ at Rituel Recordings Paris, and part of his beloved crews @slowereastside and @drosssel; the first, a collective with the purpose of spreading the world with downtempo and slowmotion music and the second, a supercollective / label made of great labels (inception-ish, yeah); @lump-rec, @casacaos, @rolandsons-seasidetrip, @slowereastside and @cosmic-awakenings are part of it, so you get the picture.

The geometry of the universe, expressed through the worship of the four directions, is one of the most important ideas of Aztec cosmology. The universe is conceived as the union of four constituent parts of the cosmos in a conceptual pivot through which heaven, the four directions of Earth and the underworld communicate along an axis mundi. Hence, the Aztec space was conceptualized as a vast horizontal disk surrounded by water and intersected by a perpendicular axis conceived as a series of layers.

The Aztecs integrated these concepts into architecture and urban design by skewing their sites clockwise from cardinal directions in order to record sunrises in autumn and winter and sunsets in spring and summer.

Kai Alce dropping some house heat at @mini-muzikhol for our second edition.

There’s a humble power about @KaiAlce (pronounced al-SAY). Perhaps it’s a combination of his Haitian roots, his youth spent in St. Croix, and his New York City upbringing. It is evident when he steps behind the turntables or CDJs, where he is at once clearly comfortable and believe it or not, just a tad bit nervous and after more than 20 years in the business, yes; “The Kaizer” still gets butterflies. That’s probably what makes Kai Alce (pronounced al- SAY) such a force: He doesn’t settle down, blend in or go along. That integrity comes through in every gig he’s worked – from his early days at Detroit’s Music Institute when he was just teenager, to the 10-year-long DEEP legacy at MJQ that he co-founded, to the production company, NDATL, that he created in 2008. What’s good is that, just like always, Alce is ready to put in work – staying true to house music, DJing for DJing’s sake, pushing himself ... and us on the dance floor. Whether it’s after a night of intense dancing at the club, a session in the booth or studio, or any other creative endeavor, as long as it’s done with truth and sincerity.

Istanbul born, Miami made. Not a one way DJ, KCM is an all around selector that doesn’t stick with one style.
