so i tested out a new method of doing 8bit covers rather than just doing a soundfont swap, and i found that it's much better.  here's the result.

So uh, here hava lotta megalo leads, consider my Christmas gift to you. 

There is 35 leads in total, 5 extra in the FLP, two in the bonuses are ones I'm certain I'm going to do, one a ___ in the style of ___, one a unfinished version of a song already in the pack, and one for that extra project i was talking about, just as a little preview.

It is divided into five sections, six counting the bonuses. 

The first section is the leads of Megalos I made and posted here.

The second section is of Megalos other people have made, and I put my own little spin on them.

(Except Dead Sea, I know a Megalovania for the same AU exists, but I forgot to change it's position to Misc, so it's hanging in here for now.)

So why did I make this? Well, what all five of these sections have in common is that I have motivation to do them, just that I am having trouble deciding the megalo I want to do, so I'm putting up a vote on which one I should do out of the leads I made (other than the songs I have already posted on soundcloud and the bonus songs. Also Planktolovania since I do plan on doing that in the future.)

Voting will end on the 11th, and I will do the winning, second place, and third place megalo sometime soon afterwards. Don't worry if the one you voted for doesn't win, that doesn't mean I won't do it in the future (or someone else does it.)

Well, here's the long story:

I wrote the first half of this song back in january, and that was what ended up on the famicompo pico 4. Then, after procrastinating for about a month, because i wasn't sure what else i could do to this song, i wrote everything after the 2:30 mark in the past 7 days.

I had time to work on this song, because i've got a cold, and i'm still sick, so i just want to end this already. Sorry about the ending, i just want to be done with it for now, maybe if i release a kind of compilation album in the future, i will do something else to it, but for now it is done.

Now about the song itself. I would say that this is my best work so far, combining my old dnb style and newer melody-driven "rock/metal" thing that i've been into recently. 

Also, it's HEAVILY inspired by the DM DOKURO stuff - the main part even sounds way too close to a particular song of his and it wasn't intentional. I felt that i've heard something similar, but i only found out which song it was after i listened to his last album.

I came up with the main melody in the past year. It was a 30 seconds loop which i've abandoned, only to pick it up in January to participate in fcp4 and make it into a dnb showoff in about a month.

And one last thing. I guess i will get personal, but i will say it anyway. If not for the DM DOKURO and his works, this song wouldn't exist, at least not in the way it is turned out to be.

So yeah, dude, if you're reading this, i want you to know - you're really good at what you're doing. I still have some of your songs stuck in my head, and i enjoy it :P
