Eventually is lovely. Eventually is fire! Those are not our words, though, but rather the personal opinions of BBC Radio 1 DJ B.Traits and world-renowned producer, DJ and tastemaker Diplo – respectively – who upon hearing Branko’s latest track just had to run to Twitter to tell the world how much they loved it. And the praise goes on in the comments section of Red Bull Music Academy’s Soundcloud page, where Eventually (feat. Alex Rita & Bison) was featured on the ’20 Before 15’ free download series and (at least) one fan claims to have played it 300 times. We believe him.

Fusing the rhythmically-charged beats of afro-house with compelling marimba melodies and the uplifiting indie vocals of Okapii’s Alex Rita, Eventually marks the beginning of a whole new musical journey for the globetrotting producer, musician and Enchufada head honcho Branko. After recording the track at Red Bull Music Academy Studios Copenhagen, the overwhelming response it got inspired him to take a whole new approach to his work that would define the next few months of his life. Deciding to record a whole album while travelling across the world, he connected with local artists from some of the most exciting music scenes around, and recording the voices, beats and samples that will eventually become his highly-anticipated debut album ‘Atlas’.

NYC-based producer Tony Quattro jumps in on the remix, expertly distilling the original’s essence and turning it into a dancefloor-focused anthem fit to rock the world’s most tropical DJ sets, by introducing some extra bass weight and heavy ballroom percussion. This only the first stop on an epic journey that has taken Branko to New York, Amsterdam, Cape Town and São Paulo on a mission to show how global this Global Club Music scene can truly get, while simultaneously raising the bar for all dance music with a cultural edge.

Aqui o som vem de Pernambuco, o jovem de 19 anos vem se arremessando na música eletrônica. Depois de conhecer o funk, baixou um banco de sample e foi testando o estilo em diversas frentes do eletrônico, como: trap, twerk e big room. O resultado desse estudo é o EP Made In Brazil, lançado com o apoio do Funk na Caixa.

Com 5 músicas, o produtor mostra o dinamismo de explorar diversos estilos, ao invés de se prender em apenas um. Em “Passinho do Allahu Akbar”, o Alves arrisca como seria um funk com vocais da Índia. Na “Passe a Respeitar”, o produtor mistura vocais agressivos com um dançante e envolvente Twerk-EDM. “Up the Bass” é o destaque do EP, que mostra a agressividade do produtor em batidas aceleradas e drops pesados.

Em menos de 1 ano de trabalho, o produtor arremessou sua carreira como um estilingue. Seu segundo EP sai pelo FNC, o produtor também teve apoio do canal Clown, e vem batalhando pelo seu espaço na cena Pernambucana.

Proving time and again to have an aptitude for unearthing the best in underground talent, Dekmantel introduces new Dutch talent Self Egg to the music continuum. The new, and yet reclusive, electro-styled wunderkind from Rotterdam, delivers an EP that touches upon the styles of such classic music as Drexciya, whilst bringing the music to a yet, modern styling. Featuring Jameszoo, who brought that talent of Self Egg to Dekmantel’s awareness, the EP is a hybrid collection of avant-gardist electro, and retro-futurism, that sits neatly within the label’s ever-expanding aesthetic.

Rotterdam's Self Egg is the latest in Dekmantel’s musical fortitude. From his humble background, the reclusive 20 something year-old self-made- producer brings very little in regards to identity, but more than enough in musical propensity. Having a modest background working in repairs, with parents obsessed with radio technology, the withdrawn producer states the record was made solely with a 'computer and microphone'. With an EP of exquisite, offbeat electro, and hard-boiled jams, the young Dutchman touches upon the fortitudes of early electro greats, while bringing an exquisite knack of production know-how to this excellently informed EP.

Having met with Dutch, electronic-jazz, wonderstar producer Jameszoo – with whom he collaborated on the track 'Blind' – Self Egg was then referred to the Dekmantel team, who subsequently went on to sign the debut EP. "I met Mitchel (Jameszoo) in Croatia at Selectors," states Self Egg. "We stayed in contact afterwards. I sent him some stuff over that I was making, then after a few emails he sent me back some stuff he recorded on what now is 'Blind'."

Title track 'Cold', is a mild, lo-pass filter driver, while 'Blind' evokes sonic imagery of classic 'The Other People Place'. 'Pace', is an analogue machine, progressive club track. Meanwhile 'Dose' touches upon that wonderful, vocal, popcorn-like, electro jazz that Self Egg has begun to characterise his style with. Such clear musical talent shows that Self Egg is yet another cracking talent to get egg-cited about. Whoever he may be.

Seis años después del fallecimiento de Leda Valladares, y a casi dos de haber lanzado la convocatoria, Fertil Discos (Argentina) y Folcore (Barcelona) presentamos el tercer single de lo que será El Camino de Leda, un repaso por el cancionero que la gran música popular rescató del olvido, y que gana otra vida a partir de 12 temas grabados por una nueva generación de productores electrónicos y cantantes invitados.
Revisitar estos cantos desde la música electrónica es mucho más que agregarles una base: es buscar generar desde la nueva música y la tecnología, texturas y sonidos (muchas veces imposibles de lograr con instrumentos) que creen espacios diferentes para recibir esas voces, y también valerse de ritmos y cadencias que no sólo nos devuelven lo ancestral, sino que también lo vinculan a nuestra experiencia diaria en las ciudades modernas.
La clave afro incorporada por Tremor, las atmósferas psicodélicas de El Remolón, los coros de Shaman Herrera, las texturas ásperas y desarmadas de San Ignacio y la voz de Lauphan, el pulso industrial de Pol Nada... son sólo algunos de los ejemplos de un trabajo de investigación y reintepretación que busca y encuentra no tanto las características formales sino el sentimiento y la profundidad del canto con caja. Bárbara Silva, King Coya, Sofía Viola, Jin Yerei, Dat García, Jazmín Ezquivel, Barda, Celeste, Uji y Charo Bogarín (La Charo, de Tonolec) son los demás artistas que componen este proyecto, cuya edición digital se verá complementada por un vinilo doble, disponible desde el 1 de marzo de 2019.

Six years after Leda Valladares’ death, and almost two years after publishing our project, Fertil Discos (Argentina) and Folcore (Barcelona) present the third single of our coming album El Camino de Leda, revisiting the music she recorded and saved from being lost forever. 12 songs, recorded by electronic producers and guest singers, will bring her work and legacy back into life. 
Using electronic music in order to revisit these songs means much more than just adding a base to the vocals: it means to use new technologies to create textures and sounds (many times impossible to be created with instruments) that conform a new type of space to host the vocals, and also to use rythms and beats which not only bring us the ancestral music back, but also link it to our daily experience in the modern cities.
The afro percussions that Tremor used in their track, El Remolon’s psychedelic atmospheres, Shaman Herrera’s vocal works, the rough and deconstructed textures of San Ignacio and Lauphan’s song, Pol Nada’s industrial beat -are just a few examples of this project’s investigation and reinterpretation, which aims not only to reproduce the formal characteristics of the canto con caja, but also to find the emotions and the deepness involved in it. Bárbara Silva, King Coya, Sofía Viola, Jin Yerei, Dat García, Jazmín Ezquivel, Barda, Celeste, Uji y Charo Bogarín (La Charo, de Tonolec) are the rest of the artists involved in this project, to be published digitally, and available in vinyl from March, 2019.

"La Añoranza" is the third single release from the Daniel Haaksman album "With Love, From Berlin" (released 25h of January 2019).

"La Añoranza" is a collaboration between Berlin based artists Coco Maria (Mexico), Dengue Dengue Dengue (Peru) and Ori Kaplan (Israel).

Featuring a heavy bass Kizomba beat, the trademark flute of Ori Kaplan (Balkan Beat Box) and the sweet voice of Coco Maria, the song reflects on homesickness.

The collaboration emerged when Daniel met Berlin based Mexican DJ Coco Maria and suggested she should sing on a beat that Daniel made with Ori on flute. A debut singer, Maria came to the studio and immediately came up with the idea on singing about homesickness, a feeling that many expats living in Berlin occasionally endure. Daniel then asked Dengue Dengue Dengue, originally from Peru but also based in Berlin, to add some additional synths and ready was the very catchy "La Añoranza".

The additional Cumbia influenced remix is by Belém up- and coming talent Will Love, originally from Tecno Brega super group Gang Do Eletro. He fuses cumbia with Norht East Brazilian vibes.

Peruvian duo Dengue Dengue Dengue return to Enchufada with new single ‘Ágni’, a slow-burning and hypnotic song named after the inversion of the traditional Afroperuvian rhythm called ‘Ingá’. Felipe Salmon and Rafael Pereira continue to expand the carefully created aesthetic that they have crafted over the years, ever since their 2012 debut ‘La Alianza Profana’ brought the thriving South American digital cumbia scene to international attention. 

‘Ágni’ follows up on their 2018 EP ‘Son de los Diablos’ and paves the way for their anticipated third album, scheduled for later this year. Their new release sets the tone with a slow and menacing 4x4 beat at 110BPM, accompanied by intricate organic percussion, intertwining wind melodies and big looming bass notes that together create a ritualistic listening experience. 

It is the first time the duo has recorded with live musicians, having connected with Pudy Ballumbrosio, from the renowned Afroperuvian percussionist dynasty the Ballumbrosios, to lay down intricate syncopated cajón patterns and quijada, the iconic ancestral instrument made out of a donkey’s jawbone, all inherited from the musical traditions brought to the country by African slaves. This collaboration will expand beyond the studio as Dengue Dengue Dengue will begin touring with the Ballumbrosio brothers all throughout Europe this summer, and have documented their entrancing live performances on the psychedelic video that accompanies ‘Ágni’.

Dengue Dengue Dengue continue expanding their carefully created aesthetic on their new album ‘Zenit & Nadir’ by diving into the deep and rich musical history of Afro-Peruvian music, already hinted in the first single ‘Ágni’, which is the inversion of the traditional Afro-Peruvian rhythm Ingá. The ongoing exploration of the vast and rich musical heritage of the descendants of the former African slaves in Peru has become the main focus of their new album. 

Their interest in Afro-Peruvian music has led them to meet and record extensively with several members of the Ballumbrosio family, a renowned musical dynasty in Peru that has kept Afro-Peruvian musical traditions alive, masters of rhythms like landó, festejo and crioullo music, with traditional dances and instruments such as the iconic quijada - a rattling percussive instrument made out of a donkey’s jawbone. 

The introduction of live recordings with the Ballumbrosio brothers has given a whole new dimension to their always-expanding sound, and they feature extensively all throughout the album. As they were such an integral part of the recording process it made perfect sense that they would contribute to expand Dengue Dengue Dengue’s memorable audiovisual performance as well, and have began playing live shows together this year. The marriage between the traditional and organic percussion of the Ballumbrosios with DDD’s hypnotic electronic production has created a whole new chapter for the band. 

After debuting in 2012, they established themselves as a driving force in the thriving South American digital cumbia scene, but have since expanded their hybrid approach to music to introduce more references such as kuduro and zouk - and more recently the above mentioned Afro-Peruvian styles - which they fuse with traditional Latin American rhythms to build a sonic identity that is hypnotic and dark, while simultaneously festive and life-affirming. 

With the band being a visual project as much as a musical one, their carefully created aesthetic can be immediately noticed in the iconic masks they wear, often referencing traditional or indigenous elements while being artful and futuristic, a striking visual representation of their approach to music. Their new masks, which are being debuted on their upcoming tour, were handcrafted by Barcelona-based artists Twee Muizen.

El Pelele is a multidisciplinary artist/character, his work combines different languages holding a continuous dialogue between the online and offline life.
