What´s a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon? One option is to drive out of town to the beach and hang out with your friends. Crank up the volume of your car stereo and enjoy your own music selection while sipping beers and puffing joints.

Now imagine this scenario in a sub-saharan African metropolis of today. Add a bit of a traffic jam before you reach the beach, think of car stereos that blast out selections of Afro House, Kuduro, Kizomba and African Rap. And soon you are close to the vibe that Daniel Haaksman´s new single "Sabado" is all about. It´s a lazy, laid back uptempo track that puts the listener to an imaginary car park party on an African city beach front. It features the mighty guitar licks of Colombia´s Bulldozer, but has an allover South-African feel to it. Yes, Paul Simon´s "Graceland" is an influence here, but also all the hot new house track that comes out of South Africa and the Portuguese speaking African countries such as Angola and Moçambique. Thus the tune is called "Sabado", Portuguese for "Saturday".

Gala Gala tells the story of a village bully. It will transport you to Alego region, western Kenya, where all villages tell of his behavior and of their tiredness of all his wrong doings.
The innovative style of Gala Gala could be called electronic Benga: it borrows a lot of influence from this sound born in the region of Lake Victoria, but is also merged with electronic sounds and arrangements.
The Artist Ngalah Oreyo is a musician and music producer from Kenya. He is a successful musician who founded the award winning band Yunasi, with four childhood friends.
After many years, of working with Yunasi, Ngalah Oreyo decided to venture on new ideas which involve experimenting a lot with traditional and electronic music.Gala Gala is the first song from his upcoming EP.

Following the release of Vinte Vinte, the collaboration with the most critically acclaimed fado artist of her generation Ana Moura that kickstarted the year, Branko presents a new collaboration with up and coming Portuguese vocalist Rita Vian called Sereia Remix, confirming a new stage in the Enchufada founder’s musical journey where he brings traditional Portuguese music closer to global urban music phenomena with surprising results. 

This new collaboration anticipates the release of a new DJ set by Branko, a video performance that was recorded live at the Portuguese mountain range of Serra da Estrela, where the DJ and producer reveals several personal interpretations of key songs from this new generation of Portuguese artists, including this new song with Rita Vian which they perform live and can be seen on Branko’s Youtube channel on October 22nd. 

Just as Branko said in an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this year where he claims the concept of fado is about to change, “now the fun begins”.
