After several weeks I finally had some time to come back. The topis is really interesting cause I think it involves somehow the now very trendy genre of modern classical. I’ve really never tried to compose such tracks so the assignment looks quite interesting for me.

First I listened to the original track several times. Than I wanted to make the “wall of noise” out of it. Of course there was an idea co create some kind of “monumental drone”. Than I thought it would be interesting to cut out some samples and use them in a creative way. I started from the beginning of the track. Than, somewhere in the middle of the original I found just 2 short samples. I uploaded them into Gleetchlab 3.0 and I realised that the fun was there!

I decided to implement the techniques I had a chance to develop during the Disquiet “transition” project. I decided to use them in Gleetchlab instead of Ableton. So I just used those 2 short samples. You can listen to the original samples at the very beginning and the very end of the track. In the middle I used some nice effects and created some soundscapes using just 2 channels. Later I uploaded the result into Ableton Live and just added some EQ at the beginning and the end of the track.That is all. I hope you gonna like it.
