This is the first song that I have recorded with my HeadRush Looperboard. I layered four separate acoustic guitar parts using a Taylor Koa 214ce. I then added Latin Percussion Conga Drums, Teak Shakers & Meinl Bongos using my old Yamaha MD4s minidisk recorder. Now, I have remixed this track by adding my Slingerland Snare Drum with Wire Brushes and Zildjian Constantinople Cymbals.

“The Way” started with a piano melody and kept unfurling as I healed from the loss of a few loved ones last year…which was capped off with my beautiful family dogs both passing. The lyrics to this song took on their loss, but the whole thing is really an open entry from my own grief process through to happiness again.

Gaz invited me to sing along to this Gem of a song he wrote, and It was a thrill and a pleasure to Join this Super talented guy once again!!  Gaz is a terrific vocalist, song writer and just the warmest kindest person to work with! I was introduced to Mike Fox who's wonderful and intuitive instrumental talent transformed the song not to mention that truly wicked guitar solo he threw in and the truly wonderful production work he did.  I am honoured and thrilled to work with these two amazing talented Gentleman!
