Following Rashid Ajami’s ecstatic debut with the A-side on our latest Tales of Romance project, we’re thrilled to have him back in full as we kick off the summer months. Through work with the likes of Maya Jane Coles and Atjazz, the Londoner has built a sterling reputation with releases on Get Physical, Einmusika, Anjunadeep, and Tale & Tone. For his inaugural EP with the TOR imprint - Never Knew - he continues to purvey his exquisite brand of deep house.

Kicking off the project is the EP’s namesake - Never Knew. A classically linear drumline sets the foundation, allowing the vocals and piano work to capture the spotlight. A powerful performance on the mic, offering words of longing, showcases Ajami’s ability to steal the soul.

New on globally-focussed Zatar Music comes a collaboration between two Brazilian producers Soldera and Mehen, and the Italian vocalist Lady Vale. 

The result is Love Hangover, a house banger that combines a tight and driving rhythm track with highly effective synths and an out of this world vocal performance from singer songwriter Lady Vale. 

The release also comes with the Essence of Time remix, which reworks the track into a more  progressive direction with bubbling synth bass and arpeggiated melodies.

"Very nice original that will  work the floor for sure." says Essence Of Time aka Michel Saurin. "I enjoyed  to remix this original. I altered the chord progression to give a different feeling to the track."

Junge Junge & Redward Martin's 'Here' gets remixed by David Hasert & Jannis Klimpel, and A Thousand Lives. This latest Get Physical Music package follows previous remixes by Rockin Moroccin.

German duo Michael Noack and Rochus Grolle are big-room dance specialists who have released on majors like Universal Music and Island Records. Back in 2023, they linked with American vocalist Redward Martin for the superb 'Here'. Now, this single is revisited for a second set of remixes.

First up are DJ, live act, LIKE Records founder and Kompakt associate David Hasert, who is a key figure in his native scene in Cologne, and here works with Get Physical man and fellow Cologne native Jannis Klimpel. Their version is primed and ready for the dancefloor, with prickly breakbeats powering it onwards. Plenty of soul comes from the elegant piano chords that dance above the busy beats, while the well-treated vocals add further layers of emotional depth.

A Thousand Lives is a duo that also hails from Cologne and is well known in melodic and Afro-house circles for its sophisticated and heartwarming sounds. They flip 'Here' into a signature affair with rising and rousing electronic drums marbled with textured synths that shapeshift and bring both tension and release. It's a widescreen cut designed to make a big impact, with chords adding scale and vocals making the breakdown even more spine-tingling.
