Our next instalment on Karakter Records comes from Italy.  

A-Tweed delivers an EP inspired by the discovery of a prehistoric and early medieval site in the North Caucasus, outside of Kislovodsk: Klin-Yar, "Crooked Valley" in Russian. 

In the originals, he re-imagines the metallic and odd tribal sound of the Iron Age in "Klin Yar Disco", dreams about some folk and moaning tunes feeling in "Big in Norway" and celebrate an unforeseen childhood football idol from Croatia who played in Parma in the 90s "Serie A" in "Mario Stanić".

The remixes are provided by Colossio, Kolomensky and Dario Dea.

Alan Es, crazy person, degenerate and music addict. After spending half a decade throwing other people's parties and listening to others play while abroad in New York, he decided to experiment with his own unorthodox combinations of italo, breaks, acid, ghetto and latin indie electronica. 6 years later, Alan Es is indeed one of the most bizarre, yet-danceable DJ´s in the region, and has been a driving force in the diversification of Dance Music and inclusive parties (which later evolved into Guatemala´s most diverse and experimental arts and music venue, run alongside fellow Guatemalans Fabio me Llaman Soltero and Patojazo. His sets, fitting perfectly with his promotion and party ethos, are genre-less and never cease to surprise, drawing influences from strange world dance music as well as the classics of the electro-trash era that inspired his foray into electronica. This set was recorded whilst in a Jacuzzi drinking Guatemalan moonshine on a Monday at noon, but is meant to be listened to at after-hours house gatherings that need that extra push prior to evolving into full-blown bacchanals.
