Making their debut on Purified Records, Underdave and Nyxma unveil their captivating ‘Silent Ascension’ EP. The release showcases their ability to craft deep, introspective house music, with two stunning tracks that blend emotive melodies and atmospheric soundscapes. 

The title track, ‘Silent Ascension’, is a reflective slice of deep melodic house, featuring a rapturous melody and stunning vocals that float effortlessly above the production, creating an ethereal, otherworldly atmosphere. The second track, ‘Innocent’, takes a slightly different direction, with catchy trill-like synth work that adds texture to its introspective journey. Also a vocal cut, ‘Innocent’ carries a soft, melancholic tone that complements its rich, melodic soundscape.

The ‘Silent Ascension’ EP artwork features a photograph of Humpback whales taken by Rachel Moore. Rachel is a professional underwater photographer and environmental advocate dedicated to capturing the wonders of marine life. With a special focus on the grace and intelligence of humpback whales, her storytelling inspires a deeper connection to the ocean and a commitment to its preservation.

Humpback whales play a vital role in the carbon cycle, each sequestering 33,000 kg of CO₂ over its lifetime — the equivalent of driving a gas-powered car 132,000 km. You can help protect these ocean giants by submitting your photos of whale tails, scientifically known as ‘flukes’, to Happywhale (Happywhale.com), a citizen science project that uses fluke identification to track humpback whales worldwide.

The ‘Fragments XXIX’ artwork is a photograph taken by Kelsey Williamson, featuring a train on manta rays gliding through crystal-clear waters in perfect synchronisation off the atoll of Tikehau in French Polynesia. Kelsey is an adventurer and photographer passionate about exploring the world’s most remote and stunning regions. Her work captures untamed landscapes and underwater wonders, inspiring a deeper connection to the wild and a curiosity for the unknown.

French Polynesia is home to over 1,000 species of fish and 150 species of coral, making it one of the most biodiverse marine regions in the world. Tetiaroa Society (@tetiaroasociety) is a non-profit focused on scientific research and conservation of marine and coastal ecosystems in French Polynesia, particularly around Tetiaroa Atoll. Through scientific research, habitat restoration, and community engagement, the organization works to protect marine and coastal ecosystems while promoting sustainable development.
