Alaska-based electronic artist Austin Williams, aka Nu Partial, announces his digital-only sophomore EP with Renraku, RRRRECEPTION. Scheduled to release worldwide April 2nd, the 24-minute experimental bass ride powers through submerged frequency manipulation and dynamic sound collages. Centered through the ethos of dance music, Nu Partial tethers each track into an avant-garde journey where dream-like lucid states and subconscious explorations are front and center.


A bulk of RRRRECEPTION was created while Nu Partial resided in Mississippi, developing the final aspects of the EP after relocating to Alaska in support of his mother during a surgery. “I don't care if I live in Anchorage for another 20 years,” Nu Partial adds. “I will never get over the view. Maybe subconsciously it affects my production.” Two distinct worlds in environment and culture, the music is somehow streamlined through this recording process, behaving as creative travel for Nu Partial that stretched beyond each location’s pulse of life. Vision dictating path over immediate circumference of scene.


Much like his debut EP, The Maw, Nu Partial’s RRRRECEPTION pulls from the ever-flowing well of life known as bass music. Elements push towards the experimental, built on a coalescence that snaps back and forth like a pinball, stitching together pieces of garage/2step, glitch, noise, downtempo, drum-n-bass, hip-hop, and lo-fi.

voljum is no stranger to us here at Rendah Mag. The young artist has been pushing his potential for a short but progressive few years. So when we find out that he's releasing a debut EP on Inspected, we had to check this one out.

This time, he brings forth a new offering to his listeners, the 'dayscapes EP' on Inspected. This 4-track release features an acute look at voljum's signature style; blends of neuro-like basses mixed with characteristics from musical elements in jazz, hip-hop, and funk music. Today, we're excited to premiere his track 'half-overcast' from the release. This is one of the funkier tracks from the EP, highlighting the use of minimalistic drums and warped vocal-reeces.

‘Inertia’ opens with an ethereal soundscape that gradually builds in energy as layers of percussion and synths slowly sneak their way into the introduction. At the seventy-second mark, the tone slightly changes as the producers flip the track into a groovy bass-riddled garage beat that isn’t overly energetic, but lively enough to get people moving. Spanning more than five minutes, ‘Inertia’ balances introspective textures and crisp sound design to create a silky smooth hit.

EnnoaeON is a producer, DJ and audio engineer from Miami Beach and now based in Rome.
Starting his musical career at the beginning of 2020, he kickstarted his journey with the release ''Parable 427'' in collaboration with Stellino and later supported by Inspector Dubplate.
