When I received the original version in my inbox and heard his legendary voice I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. I’ve been a long time fan of Fritz ever since ‘Layer Cake’ and ‘Sky And Sands’. He was one of the few that combined hip hop influences in techno, something I always like to do.

Berlin-based producer Ryan Davis presents two new beatless mixes of ‘Altitudes’, the lead single from his 2022 orchestral ‘Through The Mirror Glass’, out now on Reflections.

Ryan’s latest album ‘Through The Mirror Glass’ has existed in idea-form for a very long time – most of his life, in fact. The album is inspired by the movies he grew up watching with soundtracks by James Horner, Thomas Newman and Jóhann Jóhannsson, and the tropes and rhythms of electronic music. Davis has wanted to connect the two ever since he started producing, so this 12-track album is his first full-length foray into cinematic electronic music.
