‘Fallen Angel’ was a Dennis Sheperd-Ana Criado essential on High Contrast back in 2011, topping the Beatport charts and going on to feature remixes from Lange, North State, Rapha and Ahmed Romel. Twelve years on and the German producer/Netherlands vocalist reawaken the vision with ‘Fallen Angel’ sounding colossal as ever. Criado is a picture of ghostly tranquillity, and Sheperd maximises the storm around her from a brooding starting point with a tricky synth pattern jabbing and piercing. Being “haunted by the painful sting” once again has never felt so good.
