"El rondó de los mengues" op. 8 es una pieza para piano compuesta por Inmard Tinmard entre abril y mayo de 2012, y actualmente está incluida en las "Danzas contestanas" op. 39 bajo el nombre "Mengues circulans" (traducción chustera al latín, sí), siendo la danza número V de las mismas.

¿Y qué es eso de los mengues? ¿Nunca han escuchado "mecachis en los mengues" y se han preguntado qué significa? Pues poco antes de componer esta pieza me hacía esa pregunta, sin hallar la respuesta (entonces no tenía internet) y casi por casualidad, gracias a un libro, me enteré de que son unos duendes que, entre otras muchas cosas, esconden objetos de la gente y claro, luego no hay manera de encontrarlos aunque estuvieras segura de que los habías dejado ahí mismo... No es que sean habitantes "típicos" de la Contestania, pero aquí tiene que haberlos también, sólo que difíciles de ver... Les animo a indagar sobre ellos ;)

Mexican-Polish composer born in Mexico City.
Enrique studied composition and music theory in Mexico City and in New York City.
Has had his music performed in different festivals by accomplished performers, mainly in Mexico and in the USA.
He has also performed in the ensemble Estofado Locrio (mandolin), the rock band Da Pato Logique (clarinets, tenor sax, saxhorn, keyboards, bass guitar, mandolin) in Mexico City and the brass band Trout Circus (tenor saxophone) in Chicago.
Besides composing, Enrique is currently cohosting the podcast Las Tías de la Música where he discusses music history.
