What a minimalist production!! Fred avoids big drops or dramatic builds here, using soft synth and subtle rhythmic pulses, with fragile vocals, raw and honest.
It drifts, it loops, and gently evolves..inviting us to sit inside this private memory. Fantastic work!

THE DRUMS:  are my favorite of this track; a masterclass in LESS IS MORE, they build pressure, shaping the song's emotional tension, almost like a heartbeat : steady, contained and slightly in the background, supporting the piano and Tori's vocals. 

THE BASS: locks beautifully with the drums

THE PIANO: it's the blueprint of the song, the internal struggle of harmonies, suspensions, unresolved chors..so reactive

THE LYRICS:  explorative of a self-blaming cycle : "got enough guilt to start my own religion" --that must break free, with reclaiming her own self worth again.
