Does chaos mean disorder? If you think so, wouldn't it be close to your socially accepted moral values? Even if the concept of being is neutral, its value changes according to the way it is perceived. That is why in a highly developing technological society, users are responsible for the consequences of its consumption. We are living in a battlefield to take power, and chaos is just the process of forming a new order. In the following hour-long mix, there are quite a few moments where the tracks are mixed in a flash without a mashup, so I hope you can feel the narrative in which chaos becomes cosmos.

“I think that if you are an artist, you should let them escape from living according to their inertia, even for a moment.” is how Seoul based DJ, producer and composer, Leevisa translates the prepositions of an artist.
 
Her compositions are diversified outside the context of club culture, and described as a Lost in translation moment, trainwrecking head first into an after hours rave. Her recent contributions span from: an exclusive mix for Apple music, a remix for PZWorld Book (Published by IDEA), composing music for Kimmy.j FW19 Seoul Fashion Week runway and breaking into the world of film as a music composer. Bridging the world of music & fashion, as one of the rising female musicians of Seoul's underground scene via i-D magazine and DJing/modeling for notably rising fashion brand Hyein Seo. Leevisa has toured throughout the world playing for Unsound, CTM, Elsewhere, HKCR, NTS Radio, and performs frequently at Seoul’s renown club Cakeshop and Seoul Community Radio.

Chaotic Mix - Leevisa

When the pandemic hit, Frankfurt-born DJ and producer Julien Bracht decided to move his studio to Spain so he had a space “full of concentration and isolation”. Having previously been making music inBerlin, the shift was a welcome reset. “It was so crazy that I just needed to run out of it for a moment,” Julien says. Then, out of the blue, Julien was asked to remix a track by the Canadian electro-pop artist Grimes for the ‘Rave Edition’ of her album ‘Miss Anthropocene’. Julien’s dark and brooding 10-minute transformation of ‘My Name Is Dark’ introduced him to an entirely new audience and has racked up more than 420,000 streams on Spotify. Creating it turned out to be influential for Julien, as it provided the catalyst and confidence for him to restart his solo project and focus on it fully “in a more serious way”.

Mysterious avant-garde musician Hekla will release her uniquely beautiful debut album for solo theremin and voice Á, out September 14th through Phantom Limb Records - an independent label run and curated by former FatCat Records, Thrill Jockey and Royal Albert Hall execs James Vella, Ken Li and Mark Pearse.

A Berlin-residing Icelander, Hekla’s sparse, delicate, fractal music exists within these two worlds: dark and magical as Iceland’s permanight folklore; and (though beatless) as deeply sonic and intense as Berlin’s electronic scene. A long-term scholar of solo theremin, Hekla (shortened from her own name Hekla Magnúsdóttir) uses her instrument as an otherworldly and highly evocative Siren-call. A spectral, wailing, howling, lamenting yearning second-voice that underpins a soft vocal delivery... as if her studio had been haunted with a chorus of ghostly backing singers.
