Who knew that this would be our finest hour?
Though the bogs stank & the IPA was sour.
Played on the fruit machine when you appeared
Who said that miracles could never happen here !!
Those smoky Tuesday nights we had it all..
Free snacks & half price beer who needs the Taj Mahal?
But now I`ve got to turn a different page
 Its time to bin the beer & try to act my age.

There was no other place I would rather go and no other age I`d rather be faking. We were young & got caught in the undertow.

If I had one superpower I`d go back again to see you then.

We were always poking fun at the guys who`d drink all day but look what I´ve become as I drink my wasted life away.
                
And now I`m gazing at my empty glass.
When theres no future left you recreate the past.
 I have to say it though I´m being crude, you`re only as good as the last poor sod you screwed.
When you`re young don`t look back at the past & say "Time has stolen my Gold leaf clover" cos the days that you wish for are here today.
