As on the lily-pad I sat and gazed in awe of all around,
My ears accustomed now to all of nature's calming sounds,
The mists of her reality now settling in my brain,
The stain of civil congress washed away by tepid rain,

I felt brand new and old at once like a far-off destination,
I felt as though my worry had been replaced by soothing patience,
I felt like all around me forged together so to be,
I felt like a bobbing bottle careless littered in the sea,

And now the vacuum casted out from deep within my mind,
has cooed at sobbing pangs that birth the teeth that birth the grind,
Like wavered payments stone and pavement crumble and subside,
The waves of my emotion halt and stillness now implied.
