@zoepapillon Hi :) Thank you. Yes, I used a mix of default sounds and the Sys Ex from the games Gods (Bitmap Brothers) and Thexder2 Firehawk (Sierras/GameArts). I never got around to program my own because Unisyn from MOTU doesn't work on Intel processors... And my G5 is too unstable to work with my setup. :/

@dsp2003: I would if it wasn't such a complex setup. This song uses three MT-32/CM-32Ls  each with different SysEx files from various games like Thexder 2, Police Quest 3 and Eco Quest 1. So it would be practically impossible to play back without a proper DAW with enough MIDI outputs to handle three units of MUNT. It has close to 30 tracks in total which I recorded separately, then processed with effects etc. I would have to put down a day or two to make a scaled down version for only the 9 tracks it's capable of, and it would be hard to get something as massive with the limited polyphony... maybe I'll get some time to look into that later, things are busy at work these couple of months I'm afraid. :/

Resurrected from an XM that I made for competing at Remedy 1995. I think it came in second. 

I wanted to give this song a fresh take, since the original arrangement had some dodgy samples, an awkward groove and a pretty shitty mix.

I like this version better.

This is a remake of my original "Legacy of the 90s" done entirely on a Roland MT-32 module. I did this sometime back in 2013 and forgotten about it, but dug it out recently. The 8-Bit Guy is using this version in his latest episode about the MT-32 module. ;)

So, what if you wanna play DOOM E1M1 on a Roland MKS-80 - aka Super Jupiter? Well, now you can hear what that sounds like!

This is a remix and an extrapolation of the famous E1M1 theme from Robert Prince and ID Software arranged and recorded using the legendary MKS-80 (something between the Roland Jupiter 6 and Jupiter 8). All sounds are made with the MKS-80, except the drums which are samples from Retro Drummer (Zenhiser) and my trusty Yamaha Motif XS-7 (hihats, cymbals and some percussion).

Now go out and frag some demons from hell! That's an order, marine! ;)

Electronic musician from Norway. I started playing piano/keyboards in the mid 80s. After a few years at the municipal music school, I quickly grew tired of the simple piano-only education and got to move on to classes with keyboards and synths. From the early beginning with Technics K-200 rhythm keyboard from 1983 via some Casios/Hohner keyboards, I evolved with the later Technics KN-1000 and KN-2000 before moving on to Roland XP-50. As the computer revolution made DAWs affordable, 1999 made sequencing using Cubase easy and the studio grew ever larger with more outboard gear. Today the studio has become a sizeable and functional MIDI/arranging studio with over 40 synths/modules and more centered around a MacPro with MOTU’s Digital Performer, and numerous more or less famous productions.

I have always had a musical approach towards sound engineering and composing, rooted mainly in vivid harmonic structures and saturated compositions. Inspiration has always been the likes of Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Eric Serra to name a few giants in the electronic scene, but also a heart towards well produced pop music from the 70s and 80s as well as epic film scores from John Williams, Alan Silvestri and Hans Zimmer. The baby era of computer music from the late 80s and early 90s was also a heavy influence.
