About : river is a unique melodic electronic music project from Estonia, born from the creative synergy between a father and son. Through their artistry, they prove that age difference is not a barrier to creativity or friendship. Their performances are brimming with energy and depth, and their creations narrate dynamic and sometimes even epic stories, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

The inception of the project dates back to 2018 when Oleg first conceived the idea. The following year marked a significant turning point as his 12-year-old son, Ervin, eagerly joined the project.

Originally a clarinet and keyboard player, Ervin quickly evolved into a dedicated contributor to the project. His influence is palpable in both live performances and the creative process.

Their work has found a home in labels such as Proton, Nie Wieder Schlafen, Sound Avenue, Oleeva, Particles, Everything Will Be OK, The Purr, Where The Shadow Ends, Suprematic, Dream Culture, Pillbox, RYNTH, and others.

HOLY STUFF nasce da un rimescolamento di viscere durato due anni, indifferente al cambiare di stagioni e paesaggi (qualcuno è cambiato parecchio). C’è dentro tutto l’odio, lo stupore e la curiosità che ci si attaccano ai calcagni durante il giorno e ci seguono in salaprove come fantasmi. Ci sono sguardi divertiti su personaggi divertenti, irritati su personaggi irritanti, pensieri di mezzanotte e sognanti illusioni infrante; un paio di mesi come tanti altri, insomma. E il succo? La ciccia? Il nocciolo è che tanto lo spezzarsi di grandi domande quanto l’inattesa importanza di momenti insignificanti, in un ipotetico dilatarsi di tempo e prospettiva, non sono che robetta. Eppure nel guscio della salaprove tutte queste cose sono state rimuginate, sentite e suonate e laddove la roba che noi 4 si prova a fare insieme (che ci spingeremo in questa sede a chiamare informalmente musica) ci mette finalmente con brutale sincerità davanti a noi stessi, i miseri resti di tanta robetta si son fatti cosa sacra. E che volete farci. Amen.
