Award winning Serbian/American composer Natasha Bogojevic now lives in Chicago. Her opus includes works for symphony orchestra, solo instruments, chamber ensembles, choral and vocal pieces, electronic and computer music, ballet and numerous scores for theatre and film. Major soloists, ensembles and orchestras in Europe, former Soviet Union, Australia, Canada and USA performed her music. She is the recipient of many awards for composition (UNESCO’s Rostrum of Composers in Paris, The Joseph Jefferson Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Category of Original Music in Chicago, New Music Chicago etc). She received commissions and attended contemporary music festivals such as ISCM WORLD NEW MUSIC DAYS, BITEF, Festival of Experimental Music (led by Pierre Scaeffer, France), Beyond Biography, Gaudeamus, New Music in Middleburg, STIFT Music Festival (The Netherlands); International New Music Festival (Slovakia), Concerts for Peace (Japan); Music Forum (Ukraine); Arrai Music Festival (Canada); Versicherungskammer Bayernin (Germany), AmBul Festival (Bulgaria), International Rostrum of Composers (France), Festival in St. Petersburg and Moscow, (Russia), International Festival of Music & Visual Arts in Tashkent, (Uzbekistan), Electroacoustic Festival in Athens (Greece), Music and Silent Film Festival (Chicago), Annual International Women's Electroacoustic Project, New Music USA etc.

Hailed as “…an energized, risk-taking orchestra that advocates for contemporary music in such a way as to make composers, performers, and listeners feel part of the same engaged community" (Chicago Tribune), the Chicago Composers Orchestra is one very few orchestras to be solely devoted to contemporary music. The orchestra’s mission is to present music by living composers, and to extend the orchestral tradition to be open, vibrant, and diverse, and to speak to our lives today.

Chicago-based composer and musician Ephraim Champion's music has been lauded as "strongly individual," "compelling," and "distinctive" (Chicago Classical Review). His work spans stage and screen, with highlights including "Scenes from South Shore, Chicago" (premiered by Gaudete Brass at the 2021 Ear Taxi Music Festival) and "Humanhood" (premiered by Constellation Men’s Ensemble, 2022). As the 2023 Hearing in Color/La Caccina Young Composer-in-Residence, he composed "All Things Sublime and Colossal" for the virtuosic women’s vocal ensemble, La Caccina, and "A Stone of Hope (Martin’s Song)" for the Music Institute of Chicago, featuring the talents of multi-Grammy nominated pianist, Marta Aznavoorian. Also in 2023, he became the resident film composer for Slightly American Productions, scoring two short films "Girls in the Back of the Club" and "Rejection is God’s Protection."
Champion's international presence is growing. His "Suite for the F Horn & Tenor Saxophone" premiered at the 2023 World Saxophone Congress (Spain), followed by "The Spectacle" (commissioned by The Yamaha Tuba Duo) in Fukuoka, Japan (2024). His piece, "Vicariously Through You" will appear on the 2025 "Project Encore, Vol. 2" album, commissioned by critically acclaimed and Grammy-winning classical saxophonist, Timothy McAllister. In April 2025, the Chicago Composers Orchestra premiered Ephraim’s first symphonic sketch, “Sonder & Ozurie”. Beyond music, Ephraim enjoys writing, film, and time with his wife, Kianti, and their two yorkies.
